The chicken was chewy, the mashed potatoes were lumpy, missed seasoning but the most disgusting thing was the veggie based “gravy”. It looked and tasted nasty. They don’t know the concept of gravy making; it’s definitely not mashed vegetable based. Yuck! It’s also pretty pricey for the quality of food. Not recommended.
The place is very relaxing and beautiful, staff was very helpful since it was our first time there.The mac and cheese was very delicious, but the chicken was awful, not cook all the way.After reading other reviews looks like it’s not the first time they serve uncook, bloody chicken.
This is true Nashville hot chicken. A lot of places say they serve Nashville hot chicken but they don’t cook it the proper way but this place does. Amazing place can’t go wrong.
The regular fried chicken is delicious. And you can select from several dipping sauces. Someone tried the chicken and waffles which looked amazing. Hungry family so not much left over. Good place to eat if you go to the Saturday Market which is nearby.
Some of the best bone-in fried chicken I've had in Portland. Tender, well-seasoned meat that leaves a full, fatty feel on the tongue. It's fried right, too, because the chicken and the skin are a unified layer of crispness. I'll go back to try the sides and the boneless chicken, but for now this spot is an excellent option for fried chicken.
I got a carryout order of half a chicken, half regular and half spicy. Both were excellent. The chicken was nice and crispy, and the spicy had just the right amount of heat. The portion was good sized, too. One bonus was that the masked potatoes and gravy were excellent--generous serving size and what tasted like flavorful, homemade gravy.
First reviewed here- it says 8 months ago... since then they've increased their prices twice and the portions have noticeably decreased in size. Still great tasting food, but in less than a year the same meal I always get has increased by $4! Dropped their rating due to higher prices coupled with smaller portions.
I love Bae’s chicken! The split breast, chicken sandwich and mashed potatoes are my favorite menu items! Also don’t skip the fry sauce it’s delicious! I like the regular chicken more than the spicy version!
The crew got our order correct. However, the chicken was over seasoned and over cooked to the point of burning. Complained and they gave us a second piece burnt worse than the first piece. Do not support businesses that treat their customers badly!
For the price and what I actually ate of it, it was a waste. And the stark size difference between the two drumsticks in my order had me questioning where they source their poultry from. All I know is I wouldn’t want to come across a chicken that size in a dark alley…
