Tasty food, generous portions and friendly hosts. I'm a native and have eaten at every Ethiopian restaurant in Portland. By far, this is my go to place. It didn't use to be like this a few years ago but this place has definitely improved over time.
I’m happy that they specify their injira is gluten-free! We ordered takeout. The food was ready on time. Splitting three dishes between two people, we had plenty of leftovers. Would highly recommend for quality Ethiopian food.
Really great food!! And very sweet owner! We spent 15 yrs in Mpls, which has a large & thriving East African community. Aberus definitely stands out among the other PDX spots we've tried so far. We enjoyed the visit and left happy :)
I had the worse exspiriance. I am extremely unsatisfied with the food. Good luck to such a disgusting Food.
Delicious ? aberus combination, lamb awaze tibs, key wot. Highly recommend the awaze tibs, sizzling and crisp, straight from the fast iron onto the plate. very fluffy injera as well.Tables are well spaced out. There were small vases with roses at each table, which was a nice touch
If you don't like Injera (Ethiopean flatbread) then it doesn't matter if the flavor and quality are great. The bread is key.
We love this restaurant, lamb tips and aberus combo is what you need. Plus the ladies work there are super nice too
