Everything superb. Our waitress was one of the best we have ever had anywhere! Have been several times. Will be back again. Out of state relatives with us loved it.

For our anniversary, my wife and I chose Stone Cliff Inn. We have not dined at Stone Cliff Inn in the past, even though we live rather close. The location and view are very nice. The service was excellent -- the maí®tre d' even called me back when a more preferable time became available. The food was delicious. The calamari appetizer was very, very good. The salad was good and was quite eye-appealing when served. The desserts (lemon cake and chocolate bundt cake) were both simply fantastic. The non-alcoholic cocktails (pina colada and strawberry lemonade) were both good but were definitely middle-of-the-road, not nearly as well flavored as I had expected, particuarly in light of the $6 price tag per drink (non-alcoholic). The entrees tasted very good but unfortunately were not prepared exactly as ordered. (For the rather high price, I think it's not unreasonable to expect the order to be done right.) The New York steak was ordered medium-rare but was definitely not even close to that when served. It was definitely medium-well (to a few perhaps medium at best). For a medium-rare steak, it was still somewhat juicy. Given that New Yorks are not nearly as tender as filets or ribeyes, I think it's important to get it right at medium-rare. The chef unfortunately missed the mark -- not even close to the bullseye. I also asked for a slight adjustment to the vegetables which was entirely overlooked when served. I will probably go back -- the service was some of the best I've experienced in a long, long time. I probably won't be back in much of a hurry, given the price and given the lack of accuracy.
We were able to sit outside and enjoy the view of the Clackamas River. Service was very good and friendly. I had the special with chicken breast and smoked shrimp, very good!
