Really amazing tacos and food but it is a bit pricey. Service very poor but I’d go back for the food and fresh margaritas. It cost us $85 for 3 tacos each, chips and guac, and 2 drinks each. Seemed like a lot to me but it was worth it. It is also pretty loud and gets busy fast. Our server tried to rush us out but other than that…I think I’d go back
Not super impressed after all the hype I'd heard from a coworker. Hubby and I had empanadas and two tacos each.The empanadas were greasy but at least tasty.. Our tacos were good but we should have ordered a third one each. For the amount of money we spent we left still being a little hungry. The atmosphere, however, was terrible. It was so loud we couldn't couldn't carry on a conversation. Concrete floor and walls with no sound deadening made everything echo. It wasn't horrible, but definitely not something we enjoyed and we won't be going back.
Fun and creative selection of tacos. My fiance loves the meat preparations and I appreciate the veggie options. Always perfectly seasoned and nice sized portions.
I'm rating low because of atmosphere (1*--insanely loud, not just because the walls were open to the street, but also because of the way the interior is) and food (3*, mostly just okay. Good salsa with the chips, but there were seemingly no salsa options for topping the tacos?). Service was okay and it's a nice clean restaurant. For my preferences, this is a blacklist spot for me, but others may enjoy it.
Yummy food great atmosphere, lovely staff! They make fresh chicharonnes as an appetizer - YUM!
The menu didn't make it clear that the prices for the tacos were only for 1 tacos and that's it. Considering that the price would add up pretty quickly. The food was good, it was very crowded. The server's were pleasant and very efficient.
It was really, really nice food when i was there but...Its now Taco Tuesday, on national margarita day, and OC Taco is closed. How is a taco place always closed on a Tuesday?Again, love the food and the drinks and the vibe when you're there. Great place, great staff. But not being open on a Tuesday feels like a weird business decision.
The food here has blown me away time and again. The tacos I love: suadero (beef belly), cochinita pibil, lengua. These are some of the best quality/prepared meats I've ever had. It's truly special when you can tell how much time and effort goes into the preparing of food, and being in the food industry, I know that some of these dishes take multiple days to perfect. I've come to find out that they source everything locally where possible. And they do not skimp on the quantity of meat--these are not small street tacos, you are well fed and satisfied.The empanadas will change your life. The betabel beat salad is killer. The caesar salad is a TRUE caesar with garlicky anchovy dressing, this will set the bar for caesar's for you going forward.I've become a regular here. The food got me hooked, the quality of service and relationships with the staff have had me coming back almost weekly.Two thumbs up, try them immediately. Be prepared to see a packed house--the word is out!
This place has bumpin’ mini tacos. Shiz bussin’. The drinks are good, too. Good soup.
Food is pretty good. But good grief five bucks a taco!!!!! 4 bucks for a cup of pop. You guys are out of your mind.There's a number of other Mexican restaurants that serve similar food for about half the price.
