We are Mexican, and love good original Mexican food which is hard to find. Even in texas where we live. Don Pepe’s has great food original ingridients and taste. Loved this place. Will definitely go back
Really good food. I had the Chile Colorado plate. The pork was nice and tender, the red sauce was awesome. My coworker had Steak and Shrimp Fajitas, also very good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.
Lots of different flavors and spicy salsa choices. Really great chips and salsa. Was a bit of a wait for food. Was told everything is made to order. Shrimp Ceviche was really good. A little expensive though.
Someone seems to know what they're doing at Don Pepe's. They start you off with standard chips and an excellent mild salsa. Then they bring you a sampler of 7 salsas of varying heat.My wife and I ordered combo platters. They brought us a satisfying posole that reminded me of pho. There was meat in a well developed broth and fresh vegetables. We both wanted enchiladas and they were well made with proper spicing, great cheese to sauce to filling ratios. I will be coming back for these. The other item on our combo plates were meat in sauce. My wife had the puerco en chile verde (pork in green sauce). I had the puerco en chile Colorado (pork in red sauce). What surprised me is that the pork was cooked perfectly instead of boiled to falling apart. This made it tender and not fibrous.I am satisfied and I think all should partake.
This food is as good as or better than the Mexican food at the border! (my wife and I just moved to Oregon from Arizona)What makes it better is their passion. Every dish I tried was authentic perfected - I could tell that they took each of their items and experimented until it was better than anything I've tasted before. The only Mexican food I've had that compared was from a grama who crossed the border every morning to clean houses. The price on the food is perfect. The chef shops for the ingredients fresh every day. The time and expertise spent on the food is obvious. You won't find better Mexican food outside of Mexico! We will absolutely be back.
This place has an INCREDIBLE taco salad. The ingredients are top quality. What sets it apart is the mixed greens they use rather than iceberg lettuce, it makes all the difference. They also have a tasty assortment of hot sauces that are unique and spicy!
Awesome service and top notch Carne Asada tacos. Camarones were amazing as well. Soooo much awesome salsa as well. We were served a small flight of salsa samplers with the chips. All VERY good. Bought some to talk home. Highly recommended! Well worth the trip.
Excellent flavors and Excellent service.Guac and different salsas we're supwr tasty , the pozole soup was super good. I recommend fajitas , and trio plate, red and green pork chunks with beef enchilada . So tasty !
Takeout dinner for three $63. Two of the orders were prepared incorrectly and could not be salvaged. The tacos at $8 a piece were underwhelming. The veggies were fresh but the chicken was bland. The $16 carne asada burrito was twice the amount of a chipotle burrito. In my opinion chipotle uses a higher quality meat. I would not recommend it. The taco salad was consumed. My son just said that it had no flavor. We ordered through their web site that uses DINDIN. This company adds a large percentage to the cost of your order. If you still want to eat here I would recommend calling your order in
I had such a great experience at Don Pepe’s tonight we will definitely be back. The margaritas were wonderful the fish tacos were great and I can’t wait to try more.
