I went here as part of a wine tour and it was a great building. The building is open to tour and there is a lot of shared history of the winery's history. Also, lovely view and large patio.
I made a reservation and needed an accomodation. I was contacted promptly and notified "no problem!" Upon arrival, everything was beautifully set! Table inside was lovely, with incredible views of the area. Our server Josh took wonderful care of all of us even though not everyone was tasting. He adjusted wines to our liking and everyone had a fantastic time! Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful day at Rex Hill - just happened upon as we were taking a drive. It is a gorgeous place and wonderful service and tasting. Ended up joining the VIP wine club and bringing home some wonderful wines too. The food was very good and thank you to Doug who was a wonderful host!
Easily the coolest winery I've ever been to. The grounds are well designed, and the views are hard to beat. They had a non alcoholic hibiscus soda, so bonus points for a non-water option! The facility was clean and service was quick. There are some food options here, but more for snacking rather than a meal. A little pricier than some wineries, but a great experience.
Fantastic views. My family enjoyed the lunch and the food was prepared and presented deliciously. The wine pairings worked perfectly.I will be back.
Great physical plant. Very friendly and helpful. Two flights to choose. Fabulous cheese and charcuterie boards. Excellent wine.
We made a reservation and were looking forward to doing a flight/tasting. We chose the more expensive option because it included sparkling wine (my favorite). Unfortunately, I can't say that I felt this was worth $50. My pours were more like splashes. one to two sips and it was gone. For that price I would like to have a bit more to enjoy. The bread, cheeses, and chutney were delicious and definitely worth the price. At the end of our tasting, we went to pay and were treated like thieves because my AMEX card was apparently not showing up as having gone through on their end -even though I showed them it went through on my app. Ultimately, if you do come here I would recommend just getting a glass of wine instead of doing a flight. The winery itself is absolutely stunning, unfortunately I have been a bit regretful of spending as much as I did and sure I will return.
Whatever you do here, do not join the wine club. They sold me on the wine club saying that I would be receiving limited production wines and wines that might not be offered to the public. That was complete BS. I would receive my wine shipments and they would include Rex Hill wines that were distributed in my local area, I finally cancelled my wine club when twice, not once but twice, they included A to Z pinot noir in the shipment. They charged me $21 for the A to Z pinot noir plus shipping while it was available at my local liquor store for $14. Also worth noting, A to Z wine is OK but not that great.
One of the most impressive tasting rooms I've ever seen. The wine is solid, especially the reserve.
Rex Hill Winery is a top-notch tasting experience. I invited a number of my college friends to visit Oregon this summer and to do a wine tasting at Rex Hill, and to many of them it was their favorite part of visiting Oregon. The food and wine was superb and paired nicely, and the view of the vineyard as well as the ambiance in the tasting venue were stunning. Finally, our server Carla was kind, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Needless to say, I'll be returning to Rex Hill again very soon.
