We had Lunch here with some family the other day, and that was pretty decent. My lovely Bride and I gave them a try for early supper today. The food was bueno! Chips and salsa were a-ok for most folks. We grew up on spicy food down south. So if you wanna spice it up, ask for the green salsa..good heat and flavor too. Try'em out! The Margaritas will have ya seeing double in no time. Cheers all around!
We liked Lago De Chapala so much we came back twice on our visit to the Newberg area. All the dishes we had were excellent and service was great. We had the Flautes, Tacos al carbon and tried a couple of the combination plates. We were not disappointed.
Our go-to place in Newberg for Mexican food. Not gourmet, but solid, consistently good food, good service, good prices, comfortable and clean. Chili rellenos made with whole chilis! Extra points for that.
Lago De Chapala is nothing less than a Newberg treasure. I have been eating at Lago for years and the deliciousness never fails. Lago also has some great salsa. So if you are in the mood for some Mexican food grab some friends, then head over to Lago de chapala to fulfill your needs of deliciousness.
Four of us had a fabulous dinner, in spite of food allergies for one. Hubby and I shared a #35 that had shrimp, carne asada and grilled chicken along with rice & beans and choice of tortillas. We still have plenty to take home. Service is super friendly and very accommodating and their margaritas are fresh and fabulous.
Always spot on. Their hospitality reaches right on down to the children. I've been bringing my son here for the last three years. At 7 he's now able to eat a combination platter. We both love their food.

One of the better Mexican restaurants out there! Very small and comfortable feeling. Good sized portions. Food was absolutely amazing. I am happy to see a small business that made it through COVID. Easily noticed from traffic. Reasonably priced. Staff is very friendly and kind.
carnitas tacos…so oily. 5x biting into cartilage. Couldn’t eat, threw them out. Not going back ??
