Dinner was pleasant. There is a pond you can see out the window so there was ducks , geese , and small song birds to watch. We tried some deep dish apple pie but it wasn't cooked all the way. The staff is friendly.
While we have lived in Milwaukie for almost 9 years, it took needing a place to comfortably sit and converse with a new found friend to finally discover this place. I had heard of Shari's famous pies, but never had personally patronized the establishment. We spent almost 3 hours there, talking, laughing, having a great time! Not once were we asked to conform to the normal progression of a restaurant visit. Our experience was quite the opposite, actually. The wait staff was so friendly and receptive to our main reason for having been there - our first face to face meeting as new friends. We met through a site searching for friendly companionship. At this place, no pressure, just a place to enjoy good friends. Grant you, don't arrive at 12 noon or 6p and expect the same treatment. Select an off time. The Classic BLT and fries, while nothing spectacularly outstanding from any other BLT, tasted oh so good in this environment! Highly recommend for a place to catch up, meet someone new, or just have a "feel good" time.I plan on repeat visits!
Arrived after the dinner rush. It was pretty chill. People were nice. 4 starts because it took them a while to take our order, and then quite a while to give it to us (with only one full meal). The food was good, the pie-shakes were good, but the slice of pie which was a little cheaper would be better than the shake (a lot of crust in the shake, and not a whole lot of filling). I'd come back here. ?
Waiter was a zombie, prime rib was cold, baked potato even colder. My wife sat and sat and finally had to ask, more than once, for her soup. Wait staff totally uninterested. The good thing in all this was the manager on duty trying to motivate his staff into doing something. He is one hard working dude. Five stars for the manager, zero stars for the zombie waiter. I've been a customer for a long long time and I know that good things can be had at Shari's.
My 12 year old son and I went here for our yearly mother's day breakfast. I would like to say Tom, GM, ensures his customers and staff are taken care of. I was impressed that Tom came to our table along with servers making sure all was good and if we needed anything. I mean a GM checking on his customers was impressive and made me feel important as a customer. Thank you Tom! It meant alot to me and it's a great thing you do. I want to thank the cook for excellent food...jackie was our server and she provided excellent customer service. She always checked on us....thanks! Another exceptional server is Amber. She was our server about one month ago. Her service, smile, and energy makes an exceptional server.Thank you All!!
So far this was my best experience at a sherris around here. I took my 3 year old daughter out for lunch and the kind waiter seated us at the window with a view of the ducks and duck pond. The wait wasn't too bad and the food (best fries of any restraint in my opinion, the thick steak fries, and chicken steps and delicious pqncakes!) was hot and tasty. I appreciated the manager and (who seemed extra cool) who was making his rounds that afternoon and personally grabbed me sauce and ketchup for my chicken, as well as my waiter who was just starting but did great IMO. When I went to pay, the receipt printer didn't work and they had to troubleshoot the glitch, and when I got my receipt there was nowhere to leave a tip! I told the nice manager that I wanted to tip my waiter and he was like "oh sure, yeah, we don't like pressuring people to tip, that's something YOU HAVE TO EARN." This guy is the first person to get it, seems like lately everywhere you go crappie servers expect tips as a given. I gladly left a few bucks for my waiter, can't say enough kind things about this stellar staff here!
You’re a wonderful location and we appreciate everyone there!!! Food is always good. Covid has done a number on life.. so any bad reviews you guys may receive, I never take serious, people can be idiots. Thank you for everything you do and being there!! We appreciate you all.
Horrible I order over 50 bucks worth of food for pick up and am there on the dot to pick it up. The foods hot and ready but my pie I'm told is in the oven and will be another 15 mins. So I wait and wait and she comes up with a grin here is your pie but it's very hot!!! Do not take it out of the box. Get home and have to reheat dinner for my family and after all is said and done I go for my very hot very fresh ...FROZEN pie! Lied to me the entire time. So I'm sitting there like a dam fool waiting on a pie to be thawed enough to sell to me and the whole time my foods getting cold while I wait for a pie that was never even warm the.funniest part is the pie box reads in hand writing hot!!
Our food was delicious. I had pancakes with Marion berries on top! Our waiter was friendly and made sure to keep the hot coffee coming. This location was clean and inviting.
The girls working here were definitely high on something other than weed. The service was so bad we ended up leaving before we even ordered, to which they began yelling at each other blaming the other for us leaving. No hard feelings, best of luck to you guys in your journeys
