We went there on a Sunday a little before 7:00. A little late but we didn't think unreasonably so. We were seated, given menus, and then ignored for around 30 minutes. They werent overly busy either, lots of empty tables. People who came in after us were being served drinks. We couldn't even get the serving staff to look at us. It's too bad, the food is good, good luck getting service
The host took us to our seat and got our order. About 15 minutes later we had an appetizer come out and it was not what we ordered. After 40 minutes we had no food and no appetizer and the wait staff never came to check on us once. It’s one of the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant. We ended up getting up and leaving after waiting for an hour. So management is aware we were there at 12:40 on 5/7.
Not sure if it was a bad day or they just didn't like us. ???.. Anywho, we get there the guy up front throws the menus on the table of where we were going to sit.. Waitress was friendly. Less than 9 people were there so it wasn't busy. Presentation was awesome. Not a long wait time. Price to portion was a bit expensive.I'm not sure if it was the regular sauce that made it so bland, but there was absolutely no flavor between a sausage pepperoni/chicken bacon ranch pizza. With shredded mozzarella cheese. I've never had to add salt & pepper to a pizza.. I had to here though. Wings were okay BBQ.. 6 out of 10. The loaded fries were a total let down, little to no cheese, was offered bacon as topping while menu said shredded pork. Maybe it's a healthy type pizza place.. I'm not sure. The smell of the place was amazing though.
The pizza here is really delicious I had the chicken bacon ranch and they give you extra ranch sauce to put on if you like. we had a pizza split meat with mushroom chicken bacon ranch and both sides were delicious and I would definitely come here again. They also have homemade cream sodas and root beers with free refills! The server was really nice also and was able to help me with suggestions on what to order and suggested I get the homemade cream soda and yes it is delicious
Had pasta and a pizza. Solid good food. Very fresh. Had the blackberry porter! If I lived here it would be a great weekly place to eat at. The lemon vinaigrette was amazing!
Love Wild River Pizza, just seem to get bad service on a consistent bases. We ordered 3 pizzas, large fries and large salad to be picked up. Was told it would be 30 minutes which turned out to be 50 on a Sunday morning. There were no other customers there so to take 50 minutes (20 minutes more) is not acceptable. Not only that they had the fries done before the pizzas went in the oven and when I complained they were cold they offered to make more. We opted to have warm pizza and cold fries instead of waiting to have hot fries and cold pizza. Not sure any of the people we dealt with really cared.......VERY DISAPPOINTED FOR THE $150 WE SPENT!!!!!!!
We had a retirement party planned for this weekend and apparently they had to shut down because of covid! That I understand but the fact that we had 50 people coming and didn't even get a phone call to let us know that no one would be there! I guess someone who devoted 27 years to a local non-profit wasn't worth the trouble for them to make a phone call . I will never be back!
Looked so forward to the fish and chips. So disappointed. Very little actual fish, although delicious, buried in way too heavy coating. And looked nothing like the fb picture, or like it used to look, by the way..- wondering if "fill in" fish.. Fries which are usually so good seemed to be redone (leftover -reheated? ) .. and way too salty. The slaw was inedible. (Recipe change??) So disappointed. Maybe just a bad night, no bread offered, etc, staff seemed harried but triying very hard, although it was very early with few diners. Wild River fish and chips have always been just wonderful and anticipated as favorite. Another guest at table, a totally non picky friend said the chicken in her dish was thin and tough.. However - Best thing- the staff! Servers are friendly, kind, hardworking, responsive to customer needs, and just excellent! Always a pleasure. However, unsure if I would trust counting on what had been my favorite again.
Amazing food and everything is made fresh. I had the shrimp scampi and caprese bread, over the top delicious. Pizza is wood fired and out of this word awesome.
I absolutely 110% will not support this establishment any further. I booked a small family get together for my sisters baby shower, and instead of calling me to let me know days prior that they wouldn’t have staffing (they already knew) they neglected to call and let me know what was going on. I had to find out they were going to be closed by showing up to the establishment to find a note on the door. Leaving me to scramble to find something or somewhere to host my sisters special event. They barely gave me a “sorry” with a phone all at 6:00pm THE NIGHT BEFORE. After I already had seen the note for myself. Let me specify- I’m not upset they had to cancel due to staffing issues. I’m extremely upset with the manner to which they handled the issue afterwards. Unfortunate situations happen to everyone, but it’s the way you handle the people that support you that shows true character.
