I just bought a chicken basket and a hamburger, both cold and dry, clearly not prepared at the time. Terrible experience.
Overheard the employees talking about maggots in the refrigerator and a rat or mouse being dead and stuck in the back of the refrigerator also. I would avoid The Chicken Shanty. Not to mention some rude and untrained staff.
Hot, crispy fried chicken, killer fries, and delicious sauces. I eat here every chance I get!

Love this place! This is my go-to on Mondays place! Their menu is small, concise... And perfect! There's sauces are to die for too! Their chicken is really tasty, moist and nice big chunks. They don't skimp here! I highly recommend Chicken Shanty!!

At first I went for the food but then I looked at the restaurant. So disgusting, broken, old, falling apart. Never eating at this place again.
Fast service and GREAT food!, however 3$ for a VERY tiny 12oz looking thing of soda is awful! I should of at least gotten an 24-32oz cup for that price.
Both ti.es I have tried it the food has been mediocre. The prickly pear lemonade it exceptional though.
What a pleasant surprise this little place turned out to be! I tried it because i was starving and it was just minutes from my house, and im sure glad i did! The quality and freshness of both the fries and the chicken was worthy enough to prompt me to write this review(i rarely post reviews). You will be seeing me again, good job employees!
