OH’s is way better!Made a dinner reservation for(4) at 5:30 pm today. Arrived a few minutes early. We were asked to wait off to the side. We were seated about 20 minutes later with another party. We asked if we could sit together the Hostess said no. As we were seated. We were next to another party whom was a party of (5) but they were waiting for 2 to show. We sat for 45 more minutes waiting for their late friends to arrive. This killed the mood.They started cooking ours but held off the meat order for the late folks. This later was apparent as they gave mine to them as we watched them not bring more chicken out.To make matters worse I ordered double chicken. That means you get double chicken and pay a little more. I was served last but sat first next to the left of the cook. a light spatula portion …while he gave my extra portions to the late guests. I mentioned to him I had ordered double. He ignored me and asked the late guest that had ordered single chicken if they wanted more. He gave them more then turned around and gave me a single nugget off his spatula.To top matters he put down extra salt on the grill and said here is some extra salt for our salty guests. Then said I will be like a baby and head out.IN THE FUTURE, I will take the $120.00 I spent at your restaurant to OHs and celebrate!I would give 2 stars but because the hostess had no honest interest in hearing what happened I cannot
We've eaten here a few times and enjoyed the food and experience. However today we went there and closed tight at 1pm. We checked online first, says open today until 2. We also called before driving there and the message said open. Pretty frustrating when we have to drive 40 minutes to get there and had multiple vehicles. It's not that hard to update your hours on your Google page or recorded message. So don't go out of your way for Shoji's I guess unless you have time and gas money to blow.
I have been going to Shojis for at least a decade for birthdays and special occasions. Always a great experience and best qualify food in all of Southern Oregon!
Very friendly staff. You can eat inside right now. The chicken yakisoba wasn't the best. Potstickers were yummy. I hope to revisit when life is normal and Hibachi is open. The most popular dish here is the teriyaki chicken with fried rice.
Yuck. We ordered take out for lunch. Very disappointing. First and last time. If you are curious about it, don’t waste your time!
This is an experience - Teppanyaki. Plan for a couple of hours. If you've been, ever ... anywhere... (Benihana, Sakura's, etc), it has not changed.Good for an occasion or celebration with a group.
Love ,love ,love this place! Definitely a great time bringing the kids and having entertainment while dinner is being prepared right in front of you! I always get the ahi tuna with added teryaki chicken and it is so scrumptious everytime!
I actually like this restaurant but I'm rating it a one star Today because of its exceptionally lax concerns for covid. I had made A reservation for 9 people for my sons birthday. I was sure with covid precautions that we would have our own table. But when we got there at 5:30 on a Thursday, we were crammed in with another family. Like I was having to eat dinner ( obviously you can't wear your mask) half a foot from someone I didn't know for an hour and a half. How is that COVID safe? The chairs were all packed in. I understand that they may lose money if every family had their own table but they can make sure to keep different families on different sides. Easy. When l mentioned this to the host, she told me "sorry this is how it is and there is nothing we can do". this is not covid safe at all, very irresponsible.
Our chief was amazing absolutely a wonderful night with the family.
