Great unique menu, great food and good customer service. A must try for breakfast and lunch, good vegan options and good drinks including specialty adult beverages
I fell in love with Ruby’s while I lived in Ashland and I couldn’t have been more thrilled about their new Medford location. When they first opened, we gave them grace each time our food or the service did not meet our expectations. I always order vegan and gluten-free, which is why I wanted to love Ruby’s on Genessee… they have so many options for me! After getting my veggie or RBG burrito multiple times with egg and/or cheese, I still wanted to go back: when they get it right, it’s amazing. I had to talk my husband into giving them one more try this weekend. Unfortunately, they forgot my mimosa, burned my husband’s burger buns and burger, our sweet potato fries were cold, and my lunch burro was, too. The only thing that came out perfectly was my husband’s cider from their tap (which he graciously waited to drink until I had my mimosa, twenty minutes after we sat down). I was incredibly disappointed, as this is one of the rare places that caters to my diet in Medford.
Was here this morning with friends and the girl at the counter had an attitude, no smile, and seemed she preferred not to be there. Barely said a word when bringing our drinks out, didn’t believe me when I said my hot chocolate had coffee in it, the second hot chocolate had so much nutmeg in it I couldn’t drink it, and I didn’t ask for nutmeg, she gave another drink to the wrong person who took a drink of it, and wouldn’t make another for the person it belonged to. Will not return and will not recommend to others.
Generally speaking prices were fair. That is if the food was even decent. Coleslaw should taste and look like coleslaw. If the menu didn't tell me what I was eating I wouldn't have been able to guess. I found the food selection to be the worst. Both my wife and I are not picky eaters. However we found ourselves standing there settling on whatever we could find to be familiar with. And if your eyesight isn't good don't even bother. The menu is written on a chalkboard up above the front counter written in small print. So during rush you have to stand in front of the counter in front of everybody else reading this menu I can't imagine lol

customer service and food. my friends and I frequented this place and the last time one of us got sick and today the service was terrible. a group of us ordered food my food did not come out until the entire restaurant got their food and left and my order was made wrong had one bite and left. no one really ate what they had ordered because the quality wasn't great. sadly none of us are going back we liked that place the first few months.
Gave them a second chance. Don’t think about subbing something on your burrito on their busy time because they are to busy to accommodate to dietary needs. You might find eggshells in your Vegan burrito and the Manger is super rude. Definitely nothing like the one in Ashland.
In Medford on business, found this place. Great burger, and incredible value fries (fresh cut, $3). Local pilsner. My bill was $17 before tip. Hard to believe. Excellent burger too. Meat was flavorful and obviously fresh. HIGHLY recommended.
my boyfriend went in there today asked for just no ham and sausage on a breakfast burrito and the lady completely gave him attitude. we have come in multiple times and gotten this before and we’re willing to pay extra to get it taken out. my boyfriend ordered it mild and they put A BUNCH of peppers in it to where it was almost uneatable.
Ruby's has quickly become my goto breakfast and/or lunch spot. They have amazing food and great drink options. Sometimes I want some nachos and a beer, other times I'll do one of their legendary burritos with a nitro cold brew, either way I get a great meal at a good price. Always enjoy bringing friends and family along since this place does not disappoint. Great outdoor spot too.
