Okay, Hawaii style plate lunch. Trying to cater to the local palate with the teriyaki sauce on most dishes.
both my father and myself frequent the Central Point location regularly for the last two years or so and I must say that it is hands down one of the best places to eat in Southern Oregon! the friendly staff are always a delight to see and though we generally will order our food to go, the positive energy that engulfs the atmosphere inside the restaurant generally convince us to enjoy the great food right on the spot mostly every occasion. for the metaphorical "cherry on top", they always make sure that my order comes out perfect and extra spicy! just the way i like it! just like the Fonzie, i give the eatery 'Two Thumbs Up.' .."Aaayyyee".. definitely my choice for a great meal and positive vibes. -Zebadiah and Robert Taylor (^_^)
This is my first time here at the Hawaiian Hut. Good solid Hawaiian meal at a good price! Meat, carbs and sauce. No stoopid containers for your teriyaki sauce, but 750ml of it sitting in your table!Minus one star for lack of cabbage in Kailua Pig.
I went here for the first time today and I am astounded by how good it was! I got the #1 as well as a mixed plate with their #2 and #3 dishes. Everything was perfect. The vegetables are so fresh and cooked just right, the noodles were amazing, the meat was melt in your mouth. I have been notoriously known for NOT liking macaroni salad in the past but the Mac salad at this place? I would come there to eat JUST THAT. This is a place I'm going to be taking all my friends and family to now. 10/10
These guys were super kind. I can't have high sodium sauces of any kind and they directed me to their sauceless pork dish. The meat is cooked perfectly! I've been back and referred out of towners to them as well, who loved their food. And they didn't mind that we took up a whole table to do some business. I'm sure it helped that we made a point to be there during an off time to not monopolize their tables for peak time.
Beef is more like a stew or stroganoff meat. Chicken is chopped and really lacking much flavor. But the worst offense is the massive amounts of black pepper in the macaroni salad. The rice is good.
Food is just ok: not bad, not good. The staff seem to be new, but they were doing fine. This building must have been a rest stop in the past, judging by the smell.
I love this place! Tons of food. The Blackberry BBQ is to die for. Best macaroni salad too, hands down.
Please drive the extra distance to the one in Central point. This location charges you extra versus all the actual pricing listed. They short you on the food. Our chicken was not thoroughly cooked which I'm thankful I noticed before feeding any of this to my children or I would've spent all night at the hospital. Thankfully that's why we own a microwave and stove.Highly disappointed. Usually their food is very good but if you Order the big kahuna expect to be charged more than menu price shows and to potentially get food poisoning.
The food is amazing! That Mac Salad should have a warning label on it though...
