Purely amazing, great beer and great food! The quesadilla and cumin sour cream were delicious. I think I might come back here for lunch tomorrow ?
Great food & fast service! Ordering food was simplified and there was plenty of outdoor seating area space that made it easy on everyone. Very flavorful tacos ? and the fish n chips were perfectly cooked. I recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking for big portions at a great price.
We ordered burgers to go and when we got home they had messed up almost every aspect of our order. No sweet potato fries instead of regular, no ketchup or mustard as requested, the GF "bun" was soggy multigrain sandwich bread, and they put cheese on the lactose intolerant person's burger. I'm leaving them 1 star here since it was all food and this is a first world problem, but still, seriously? We pay extra and tip well and this is all you can accomplish? Very disappointed.
Fun atmosphere. Sat outside at tables with heat lamps. Lots of people playing corn hole. Great beers. Good variety of beers and ciders. Had the Block burger which was great. Had the Brussels sprout and kale salad which was too much kale, nice salad dressing though.
Common Block is my go to spot to introduce people to the area. I know the beer and food selection will make everyone happy. The atmosphere is always friendly. The staff is quick. There is great seating for all weather, I really love the outdoor area facing downtown. And I know I can keep my nephew entertained with a few games of corn hole.
I was not sure what to expect from Common Block Brewing and I can say I was pleasantly surprised. There was indoor and outdoor seating available and the areas were spacious. We decided to share the kale and brussel sprout salad and a turkey roll up. The food was tasty and filling.
How does this place stay in business? The last time we went to common Block was maybe three years ago. At that time the food was pretty bad so we chose not to return. Recently we had heard that they had a new menu and that it was really great so we thought we’d give it another try. Never again. It took 10 minutes to finally get seated as we followed every sign. Even though there seemed to be a lot of employees, on one even glanced at us, let alone seat us. Finally went to the bar and some young chick seemed completely put out to show us to a table- complete with eye roll and heavy sigh. You have to go to a kiosk and order your self: no tableside service. We ordered two drinks and two appetizers. After 45 minutes one appetizer showed up —the other one never did . The whole time we sat there, no one came to check on us, asked if we wanted another drink, or let us know why our order was taking so long. We had planned to stay for dinner but after nearly an hour of waiting for an appetizer we decided against spending any more time or money there. Terrible experience and this is absolutely the last time we will go there.
Once again another great meal and a great place to have a small, outdoor birthday celebration. The *Chefslayer burger is hands down my fave burger, still…If you like egg on your burger, then this is the one for you.I had a delicious IPA and everybody else was really happy with their meals.PS… I did switch the sides up and tried a cup of *Chowder(*A+) instead of their yummy *sweet potato fries.Boom! ???& the heaters at every outdoor table are a Plus!I actually took my burger home and had it for lunch and dinner the next day.Even warming it up, the egg(bright yellow too, Yum ? ) was still over easy. I couldn’t have been more thrilled.✌??
Met family here that I haven't seen in years pand I have to say it was the perfect place for it. We sat in the covered outside dining room. The tables have individual heaters so it was comfortable even mid February. They were moderately busy but we were able to enjoy our lunch and converse for quite sometime without really noticing the other people around us. I would love to go back and try some of their beers and other drinks. Maybe in the evening when the lights are on outside.
Flavor was lacking in most dishes tried. The marinara for the cheese curds was the best and it was a condiment.
