As a local and GM of a restaurant I rarely leave bad reviews, but today was warranted. My husband and I wanted breakfast and try to support our locally owned small businesses. I told our server that the coffee was cold this is a small restaurant the server proceeded to the open kitchen and asked the chef if he thought it was cold, he proceeded to call us “Starbucks tigers always wanting a fresh brew”, not only could we see him but could hear the whole conversation and we’re looking right at them. When ordering we inquired if they had fresh squeezed orange juice and were told it wasn’t fresh today. About 20 minutes after the coffee comment he loudly says “ Sarah is it fresh squeezed?” By this time my husband had found a hair in his food and was ready to depart. I stood at the counter waiting for a box while both the server and Chef looked at me and turned away to walk further back into the kitchen. After seeing this my husband decided to speak to the woman who was working the register whom recognized us as customers who frequent their establishment, she informed my husband that the chef was also the owner and apologized profusely. She has always been very kind and hospitable and offered to refund our breakfast. We didn’t take it as things often happen in the industry that are out of our control, but because of the blatantly bad and lack of respect for his customers we will no longer frequent this establishment and will endeavor to make sure it’s not on our list of quaint places to visit while in town. Addendum : Owners response directly reflects the reason for the review and shows his true colors.

Great customer service and wonderful selection of baked goods as well as coffees and teas! They aren’t following the mask mandate so I guess it depends on where you stand on that on the safety and comfort level of going in. I wore mine and left after ordering. ?

Counter and kitchen staff were not wearing any masks or face shields. While I enjoy supporting local businesses, I can’t support those that think they are above the law or chose to put their customers at risk. Sad to say I won’t be back. Plenty of other options in Mac for good food.

While I enjoy supporting local businesses, I won’t support those that think they are above the law. No one in the kitchen or behind the counter was wearing a mask. No one likes wearing a mask but we do it to keep people safe. Plenty of other options in town - Mac Market has way better bread, sandwiches, pastries, and everyone there wears a mask. Definitely won’t be back.

Every staff member has a complete disregard for the safety of others. Will be encouraging others to contact boli. They may be not have the time to respond, but I’m doing it anyway.

Thinking of going here for breakfast on a weekday morning? Stay home or go on the weekend when you may have a better experience. Front staff arguing with cooks, burnt food and no masks on any of staff. Disappointing.

Good breakfast. The artisan bread was the best. Latte was pretty good and tasty. Service was well done by the pretty ladies at the counter.

Adorable small business with unquestionably yummy baked goods.

Eat here often since they are near the office. Great sandwiches, bread and pastries. But get there early for the pastries, as they sell out quickly. Same for the bread.

This is an amazing little bakery with impeccable bread and many more other food products, this is a place i would definitely recommend. I also love the kind and soft environment they’ve created. The staff is also extremely nice.
