Such a great dining room and delicious food. People at El Primos are so friendly and invite you in with beautiful smiles. I definitely will be going back to enjoy the cheerful new dining area and plentiful plates full of authentically prepared foods. So happy El Primos is here in McMinnville Oregon! Hopefully I will get some pictures next time.
Been many years since I’ve been here. Maybe almost 20? I was in my early teens back then and I’m in my early 30s now.Was in town with my grandfather doing some shopping. Wanted lunch and decided to come here.Food was amazing. I had the chicken flautas and my grandfather had the cheese enchiladas combo. Both were very flavorful. My flautas had a generous portion of guacamole and sour cream The salsa was pretty good too. Out of all the authentic Mexican restaurants I’ve been too, this salsa is my favorite. Tons of flavor with the right amount of chunkiness and with out it being watered down like at some places. While we don’t get to McMinnville that often (from Hillsboro) when we do we will definitely come here.
Very good food, but the women's bathroom stalls are very short, and they gave my guacamole even though I asked for none
After eating here three times I finally realized the food is mediocre at best. They are overpriced.Don't order any appetizers as they are prepared very poorly. The food was presented sloppily. Stale chips and minimal amounts of salsa. When I Complained nothing was offered to create a better dining experience. Be careful what you order. Sixty dollars thrown away.
We love El Primo! My family and I have been coming here since the early 90s. Great food and super nice people! The homemade tortillas on the weekend are amazing! It's our favorite place to eat in town.
I've lived in the area and driven past El Primo for close to 20 years and for some reason never stopped in. Well I really regret that now! Decided on going while looking for someplace to meet with some family and we're all happy to have found it. I had shrimp enchiladas and everything was just so tasty. Sampled my wife's pork dish and it was great also.
The Best Mexican Food In McMinnville. The blended margaritas are the best ratio of ice to liquid, and the flavor is so good that we have endlessly tried to replicate it at home. LOCAL TIP: The margaritas have gotten weaker in recent years, so some people order with an extra shot of tequila. Ample parking, but sometimes it feels that because the place is so popular; there’s still parking nearby on the street right behind. Be sure to go on Thursdays through the weekend, when abuela flips, flops, and presses handmade tortillas right before your very eyes, just inside the front door.
Very good Mexican food . Fast and friendly service . A lot of food for the money
Best all round. Greeted by a friendly, smiling server. From the moment you walk in the door and see the picture of the old couple ( look closely to see the secret in their faces) and all the art there was beautiful. When our food came the servings were so large and delicious that I are twice the amount I normally would and still had leftovers. Then our wonderful server said she was bringing our desert that came with our meal. I was going to skip as I was full so I took little bite and then ate the whole thing it was so delicious. Thank you so much for such a wonderful dining experience.
I have been dining at El Primo for over 25 years now. I have never been disappointed in their food, service or the cleanliness of the restaurant. When I an craving Mexican cuisine, El Primo is my first thought. Their homemade tortillas are to die for. Everything else on the menu is just as good.
