Wonderful little spot. We ate on the patio service was phenomenal. Place was very clean and they were very attentive to our needs. I had the Dragon Burger it was fire! Would order it again it was so good. Fries were absolutely tasty. My wife had the special Burger with bacon and cheddar cheese. Very hearty meal you may not be able to eat later! I would definitely come back here again I would like to try the salmon.
We haven't been in years and it was so nice to go back. My husband had their special-four steak tacos and rice. The steak was well seasoned and melted in your mouth (I took one). I had the soup, fruit and cheese board. Perfect. A generous bowl of their mushroom soup, cheese and fruit. Fabulous! We are trying to plan what we will have next time!
Service AND food great! The automatic inclusion of an 18%tip was a surprise and a bit off-putting as well as a disincentive for providing a larger tip, 5 stars or returning to your restaurant. I hope you reconsider this mandatory extra charge. While I understand and appreciate the need to tip I dont want it to be automatically added to my bill.
Gubanks continues to be a solid 5 star go to neighborhood restaurant. Tasty preparation of top quality items for the locals who are now three generations into supporting the Buck family. Yum!
Always great food!! Took 95 year old friend who needed newly installed lift rather than take the stairs. Directions NOT clear and writing so small, it was difficult to read. Went inside to get manager as it requires a key. She told us to call the restaurant, next time, and someone will come out with key. Maybe post that outside, on the lift, as was very vague.I have been asking for at least warm water in restroom sink and was initially told they would turn on after the remodel which was several years ago; cold water is it.Staff always very ? nice.
The restaurant was comfortable w/Great background music. Our waitress, Destiny was Patient, Very Cordial, Honest and Professional, making our experience Happy and Satisfying! The food was DELICIOUS! We will definitely return! She went out of her way to be sure I didn't choose an item w/soy, which I am highly allergic to!
OH my gosh!Just ordered takeout for the office today and had to write a review because it was THAT good! Not exaggerating when I say literally the best steak sandwich I've ever had and my coworkers are very very happy with their meals as well- everything we individually ordered was under 20 dollars so very happy with the price as well! Didn't dine in the restaurant but they were very nice and helpful on the phone. Very happy will definitely come back for dinner or order for lunch again!
Great meatloaf, mushroom soup, dumplings and halibut. Excellent service too!
This use to be our favorite neighborhood restaurant, unfortunately that isn’t the case anymore.We have been here twice since they reopened both times were subpar to say the least.Our first time back the service was atrocious. We sat for 10 minutes before someone took our drink order all while the server avoided eye contact with us, even though it was 4:30pm at the restaurant was dead. We finally ordered drinks and were excited to try their new cocktails. Once our cocktails arrived my fiancé immediately said something was wrong with his drink. He had ordered the Prickly Pear Gin Buck, I tasted it and it was straight tequila. We notified the server who said that the bartender had made the drink wrong. We also ordered food, I in particular had ordered the nachos which came out cold in the middle. We left and had chalked it up to them being newly open.We came in again today just to get a cocktail and their carrot cake, our favorite dessert in town. We each took two bites and put our forks down. The carrot cake was absolutely awfully and extremely dry.Diners don’t let Instagram fool you….the food you will receive will be no where near the quality in the pictures.We aren’t ever coming back.
