We have gone to Grassa before, but never has it been this good! When we went in the restaurant, there was great service. Within 5 minutes of ordering, we received our Caesar salad. After another five minutes, our food arrived at our table. Our garlic bread was garlicky, our Mac and cheese was cheesy, and our carbonara had the perfect balance of pancetta, egg, and pasta. While we were eating, a steady stream of other customers arrived, and they were also served quickly. We are now full and contented, and would fully recommend Grassa to anybody that likes pasta and quality food. 5/5 stars, would drive 2 hours just to go here again.

Just about every meal except the butternut squash raviolis has pork as an ingredient. I asked for a meal without pork & they suggested the clam pasta (it had a massive about of bacon in it). Maybe they thought bacon wasn’t pork? The mixed drinks were very strong. 2 of us considered sending back 2 different drinks. Garlic bread was tasty and the pasta was cooked well. We’ll stick to Lardo next time.

It was fair! I actually couldn't wait to eat here and was looking forward to it. Have to say I am disappointed and most likely won't go back. The pasta was hard and not enjoyable. I know I like my pasta soft and some people like it al dante but this wasn't even al dante. So the idea of this place is you order the food and sit down and they bring it to you. You get your own water and to go containers kind of eat at a food court. For the price you pay there should be a little more customer service

Updated review:So my first experience here was amazing. Like, the food was over the top fantastic. So when I was craving some good pasta on the quick this weekend, I thought, “I know! I’ll order Grassa again!” Well, sadly my experience was pretty lackluster at best.I ordered the exact same things I ordered the first time, the Carbonara and the Pork Belly Mac & Cheese. And whereas the first time they were bursting with flavor in every bite, this time they were, dry, over cooked and super bland. No real flavor at all.I also ordered the Chicken Parmesan with some Pasta Marinara, and sadly the Chicken Parm did not arrive but instead another box showed up with only a few tiny raviolis in it. I’m talking kid size (see pic). It wasn’t terrible, but definitely not what I ordered. The odd thing was “CHX” was written on the outside of the box, so someone obviously dropped the ball somewhere. I’m not sure if it was Grassa or DoorDash, so I’m not deducting any stars for that particular issue, but I thought it was worth mentioning.Nonetheless, for what I paid for the meal, and what I had experienced in the past, I expected a lot more. I would say this was a 2-star experience. So I’ll average the two and give them 3 stars. But I don’t know if I’ll go back anytime soon.—Original review: July 2021So after getting home late from the office yesterday, I knew that there was no way I was cooking dinner. And I was having a mad craving for some good old fashioned pasta. Enter my best friend this past year, DoorDash. Only I didn’t want to have something I’d eaten before. I was lusting after something new, something unique, and maybe a little edgy…. Hello, Grassa!I had heard excellent things about Grassa before, but had never gotten around to visiting. So this seemed like the perfect opportunity. So after viewing all of the drool-worthy pasta photos online, I selected a few varieties to try and put in my order. Less than an hour later, it arrived hot on my doorstep. And my, oh my, was I in for a treat! This food was beyond being delicious… It was insane! And the Carbonara Pasta with the fried egg on top? (eyes currently rolling back in head) It has to be one of the best most mouth-watering things that I have ever eaten. The combination of flavors was quite literally out of this world and sent my tastebuds into full overdrive. We also tried the Pork Belly Mac and Cheese, the Kids Luke Pasta (only because I wanted a small side of something with some red sauce) and an order of garlic bread, and they were also equally delicious (although the Carbonara Pasta was the clear front runner). Now I will say that the food was obviously heavily salted. Not in a “this tastes like something that just crawled out of the ocean” kind of a way. No, it was done so that the flavors popped perfectly. However, if you are someone with high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or basically anyone that follows a low sodium diet, I’m going to suggest that this “might” not be the place for you. Just sayin. But for everyone else, Go…. Go now!And one last thing to mention. They are also doing cocktails to go. And DoorDash will deliver those too, as long as you have someone 21 or older with a valid ID to receive the order at the time of delivery. I ordered the Rosemary Sour which came premixed with the alcohol already in it, in a bottle large enough to pour two drinks. And not only was it delicious, the bartender definitely didn’t skimp on the vodka (yay, bartender!).All in all, this place really can’t be beat. I can’t speak for the in-person dining experience because I haven’t had that opportunity yet, but I hope to one day soon. Because as wonderful as this food was delivered, I can only imagine what it would be like fresh out of the oven… All I can say is, hopefully they have a defibrillator in their back office because my heart might just stop right there.

Honestly, it was kind of gross. Pasta incredibly over-cooked, temperature varied enough in the dish (pasta with cauliflower and mascarpone) that I’m guessing microwaves are in heavy rotation in the kitchen. Mediocre at best, but mine sucked. It was edible, don’t get me wrong, but at 20 bucks per person, fast casual style, I expected it to be good. Oh well, can’t win ‘em all!

We came here when it was mostly empty so I can’t speak to what it’s like when it’s busy. The setup is effective. Walk in and order. Get drinks and appetizers quickly and dinner was served a reasonable time later.I had the Fusilli Alla Vodka & it was awesome.I like spicy food especially when it’s not overwhelming and regrettable. This dish has lots of kick that would be too much for some but to me it absolutely worked because I felt the kick and it was done right.

Dined in yesterday for the first time. FINALLY! Good Italian food in the suburbs! We had the cacio de Pepe and rigatoni with pork. Both were very good. Nice hip vibe inside. You can use the parking garage if the lot is full. So excited to have Grassa nearby!

I am surprised by all the poor reviews. Although I did not eat inside the restaurant, I will say that the spaghetti and meatballs was absolutely delicious. The pasta is fresh and the texture is perfect. The sauce was flavorful. Meatballs were also really good. Garlic bread is on thick fresh bread. This is probably one of the best restaurants you can order through doordash......and I will again

We just ordered delivery from this restaurant and 2 out of 3 entrees were horrible. First, the pork rigatoni was delicious; however, the "adult Mac and cheese" was inetible. The tablespoon of"sauce" tasted like flour and milk without any sign of cheese. The meatballs tasted okay, but on closer look were partially raw inside. I wish I would have checked the reviews before ordering because it doesn't look like our experience is unique.

Awesome food, some of the best pasta I have had. Great texture to the pasta and the sauces were very tasty. Also ordered meatballs and that was great too. Went during lunch time on a Thursday and really not a lot of people. Parking in the underground area was no problem. Can't wait to try some other dishes there.
