I looked for a restaurant with a view and I found so much more than that at Five Spice Seafood downtown Lake Oswego!Delicious food, great selection of local wines and fancy cocktails. The real surprise at the bar is Kelly! He not only prepared the yummy cocktails, he entertained us with his courteous spirit and small talk in Frensh and Intalian!
Really enjoyed our entire experience for dinner here. Service was great, waiter was extremely attentive and friendly and the food was outstanding. Ordered quite a few small plates / appetizers, loved the poke and spring rolls. The Brussel sprouts with pork belly are a must and our favorite entree was the stuffed salmon. We were too full for dessert but need to come back to try!
Beautifully decorated yet cozy place! This restaurant has outdoor heated seating, lounge, bar and regular dining. They have good menu, we loved fish appetizer and entrees. They are also very accommodating for subsitutions, I say that because a few high end restaurants don't quite entertain that!I will be back for outdoor seating with lake views and the happy hour !

Excellent seafood in downtown Lake Oswego, Oregon. Salmon had some amazing sauce on it. Gluten free options available. Huge wine selection. Bread basket with fresh butter... mmmmm. Elevator and easy handicapped access. Parking structure across the street. Fireplaces were a nice touch as it was a very cold night and the front door was open and drafty. Maybe bring a blanket for your legs if you're going in the winter. $$$♡
We just had dinner here at the restaurant. It started very nicely, however, we had to wait for a very long time to get the entrees. When I asked the server how long it would take, she suddenly became very defensive and told us, "Oh, I timed it, but they messed it up in the kitchen." I do not care if they messed up in the kitchen or not, but the attitude she gave me was absolutely ABSURD, I merely wanted to see when we would get our entrees, which is not a demanding request. Later, the manager came and tried to explain but he still blamed on how the kitchen was a bit slow and all that. I want to be very clear here; I do understand that things can get slow. However, when I ask about it, I would want to know why things are being slowed down. I do not want the server to become so defensive so that it ruins the whole mood. I never wanted to have any free drink or anything. I just wanted a proper explanation with a reasonable explanation, which was NOT the case. This is very sad given that we used to dine out here. I do not think that the manager was truly aware of the issue, either, which again tells how the restaurant is being operated under a very poor management.
We dine out about twice a month in the Portland area and I have to say this is one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. We were two couples and all four of us raved about our dishes. Our server was very friendly, professional, and attentive. Thanks for a great meal!
Jan 2022 2 years later I came back to this restaurant. The food quality retained the same quality. Ordered the diver scallops, steamed mussel pot with coconut and spicy sauce, ribs, cocktails prawn, fried five spice squid ? but ran out on the usual Northwest oysters … disappointing. Great wine selection and wine. Enjoy the good evening with friendly services!
The waiter was delightful, the food may have been excellent, however we were seated at a table next to the door for the exterior patio. Every time the door was opened, our menus and napkins were blown away. We had our coats on and even then were very uncomfortable. According to the waiter, this was an all to common complaint about that table. When we asked for the manager and to be relocated we were sadly given no options. The manager did not offer any solutions and did the one thing a manager should never do, he tried to deny the problem. We left and went to another restaurant next door and fortunately had a very pleasant experience.It’s terrible how an otherwise nice restaurant can lead to such a poor experience because of abad choice in table placement and a poor response by the manager.
Very cool vibe. Delicious food. Ample wine selection. The view is also enjoyable to look at!
