This was my first time at Babica Hen Cafe and I enjoyed it very much. The restaurant was very clean and well organized, Our server was excellent. She was polite, friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. Our lunches were delicious.
Their menu states the "Iron Miner's Scramble" is gluten free, it is not. The breakfast potatoes accompanying my second choice of an omelet were not prepared in a dedicated fryer. And the gluten free toast I ordered was not gluten free as was rudely so stated by the server. My celiac reaction to the breakfast, and no I did not eat the potatoes, was horrendous. Stay well. Do not eat here if you want to stay healthy.
So my family and I went here for my Dad's birthday to have brunch. This place was awesome, small menu that hits on all cylinders. Their Brunch was amazing. They offer mimosas, both table and individual as well as cocktails along with the usual selection of breakfast beverages. Waffles are solid and pancakes are great. Service is fast and friendly. They even had a kids menu and markers. They don't do Reservations so that's a small pain point. But otherwise the place is on point!
Great breakfast place for our first visit. Looks to be a fairly popular brunch destination. Waffles were terrific and many varieties to choose from. Will try more on next visit to the area.
Our family is more into breakfast than into dinner. We love to have our family gathering in the morning. Babica Hen does not take a reservation, and it might be quite tricky to get a table for 10 or 14 people. We always succeeded as the staff was very helpful and understanding. And their food is delicious. We can recommend anything on their menu. We will be back!

Let me start by saying I’m one who basically needs average service - don’t need to be waited on hand and foot. If someone takes my order and brings basically the same order out, I’m happy. This was my second time at BC, and the service was equally lousy both times. Had the same server, too. She had too many tables to start with. Her English wasn’t great (and maybe that was the trouble?), but she seemed to understand. But she didn’t. We had a party of five and I didn’t receive both my OJ (had to ask again for it) and my side pancake (had to ask TWICE for it). The poor service actually weighed out against the great food.
Unique and unexpected combinations that are mouthwatering and delicious. These waffles with a mascarpone made with sweet potato, coconut, and caramel, were to die for. The ricotta pancakes were so soft and delectable. The coffee was excellent and so were the mimosas. Then there are giant cinnamon rolls and sticky buns.?
This place is awesome! We are from out of town and were not expecting a lot, but ended up here. The service was extremely quick and attentive, the food was great (extensive gluten free options!), over all a five-star all day long. Thanks!
Great service and fantastic food. Restaurant was super busy but all worker's gave great customer service despite continously running in what seemed like opposite directions. Highly recommend!
I was a bit disappointed in Babica Hen since I used to love their Dundee restaurant. I would sit by the fireplace and order a wood fired pizza, salad and sip on a nice glass of wine. This place is nothing like that! Unfortunately, the waitress we had for lunch recently seemed to be quite young and inexperienced. She didn't explain anything to us or offer us anything special. There was no personal touch to the service at all. Food was fine but I would not go back mainly because it was so darned noisy! I felt like I was in a Denny's or Elmer's - too much going on and many distractions. It was difficult to focus on a good conversation.
