Awwwwful service! They don’t treat us the same as anglos. I have to ask for everything. The take out is worse!! I ask for extra soy and they give me one packet. She tells me “you have one in your bag” I tell her the order is for three people and she actually threw two more chopsticks and two soy sauce. I’ve been going there for years and I’ve referred friends, and they’ve experience the same. The hand rolls are half the size and the rolls have more rice than before and the price is three dollars more. I get we’re in hard times, but no excuse for mediocre service. Next take out I’m going to say my name is Smith.
If you're picky about your sushi, this is a really good place to eat. It's well worth the price. The sashimi is very well prepared.I only wish their menu had more details.Overall, highly recommend. I will be returning.
I ate here one time a few years ago, and I enjoyed it previously and never had any issues. Then I went with a friend one day for dinner and the next morning it looked like I broke out in some sort of allergic reaction all over my face. And I never really had much acne but it made my face look like it was covered in thousands of little acne bumps, it was horrible. Never ate there again, and low and behold I never had that same allergic reaction again.
This is the worst "sushi" restaurant I have ever eaten at.To put it in perspective, their plain rice tasted better than their salmon. To put /that/ in perspective, the Japanese have a saying; "You will know a good sushi restaurant by the tuna." This is because salmon is the most popular sushi, and the easiest to prepare deliciously. So simple. The tuna is how you can assess the actual quality of the establishment. But as God is my witness, Sushi & Maki in Hillsboro, OR somehow made salmon nigiri, the easiest sushi dish on the planet, into an inedible slab of stringy orange fiber on a teaspoon of 'passable' rice. And they still had the nerve to charge $6 for one order.Stay away from this place unless there is literally no other option.
Meh, I’ve eaten here twice and both times were just ok, this last visit I got the super crunch which is pretty gross, definitely looks pretty, but doesn’t taste good. The fish seems high quality, but between the gross super crunch and the unfriendly service both times, I’ll find somewhere else to spend $30 for a single meal..
Just got an order of takoyaki and that is allways good took a little long but thats understandable since I came when they just opened.
Very delicious! Highly recommend
This is my favorite sushi restaurant! To name a few, I love the service, food, and variety here. I absolutely love the Nevada roll they make and would love to come again!
When you need ? sushi rolls, miso soup ?, ? bento box; yakisoba noodles ?you will always receive the finest service, and most delicious edible creations here. Sushi and Maki have remained a favorite place to charge the soul, feed the need and just feel really welcomed. With huge appreciation ☺ This place, is the place. ?
Best quality sushi in Hillsboro! The Japanese food is really good, I’ve always enjoyed my meals here.
