I have been here a few times (both dine in and take out) and it is always spectacular. My family and I haven't found anything from here that we dislike. My personal recommendation is the karaage chicken substituted with veggie broth (I hear that the pork broth is great but I'm allergic to pork unfortunately). Everyone is so kind here and you can tell they love what they do. We brought my mother in law here for her first ramen experience and they were patient and gave her great recommendations as a beginner. Overall, you pay for authentic, delicious food made with love from a small, locally owned business. I will continue to visit whenever I'm in the mood for ramen!
You can definitely feel the oil in the air in this place, but this place makes a fantastic pork cutlet and their ramen is on point. Even my couldn't stop stuffing thier face.
Put it this way, I only tasted the broth and it was already the best Ramen I’ve had in Portland. I’m Japanese and have had plenty of ramen. I’ll be driving 40 min to get ramen from now on. It’s that worth it.
To be honest I came to try the ramen based on the reviews. It was okay, nothing special. I spent about $60 here for 2 bowls of ramen and a kids plate plus 2 drinks. The ramen itself wasn’t very hot and tasted old and burnt. I don’t think I’d go back again. Also the server was snappy. I asked her about the weird taste in the ramen and she said “too bad sorry you don’t like it” with an attitude. Will try other places.
Peach bulba was awesome! So was the ninja ramen will definitely go again!
Went here and split the Ramen + Don combo with my partner. The amount and quality of food perfectly matched the price. It was super delicious too. I love the traditional take on the ramen broth, we will definitely be returning to try the spicy miso!
Grossssss pls don’t go!!! The noodles were so stiff and hard, the broth smells like it was there for weeks not 14 hours. The lady was very sweet but the food is not worth a visit. I decided to go because it had a 4.4 rating yet it was the most disappointing ramen.
pretty darn good. The service was prompt and great. The ramen was good. However, two things are keeping this place from being 5 stars in my opinion. 1, i've now tried 2 different ramen combos and they both had a prominant layer of oil sitting on top. i realize that pork fat comes from the pork in the dish, but it feels greasier than other ramen places i frequent. 2, they use these old wooden soup spoons that i can see and feel other customers bite marks in. kind of gross, but also not a great feeling in the hand or eating the soup. they're too large and at a strange angle, like a ladle. If they could improve these two things i'd probably eat there every other week
Best ramen I've had. I ordered the Deluxe Ninja Ramen and the small Chashu Don. Portion size was perfect.Great flavor, pork was amazing. 10/10 highly recommend.
I’m not sure why there are bad reviews on the customer service here. We love that it’s a small business and have only ever had positive experiences here. The owner ran over to open the door for us as I had a stroller and then went so far as to carry my food out to the car for me after we picked it up because I had my hands full with the stroller and had ordered a lot. Food was amazing and fast and the owner is incredibly kind.
