Not a fan. Tried chicken pad thai w/o green onions. Noodles were mushy, chicken is battered in something, some of the chicken is soft, some tough and overcooked. Doesn't taste very good. Will not be back. Disappointed as the reviews were positive. Maybe things get old later in the evening, ordered at 930 pm. Ate about half, can't finish it (not in a good way), going to bed hungry tonight.
I went in for a yellow curry bowl and let me just say it was a little different than I’m used to. Usually the rice comes on the side but this one came all mixed in so there was no soup since the rice absorbed it all. The potatoes were also really hard and undercooked so I couldn’t eat it and the spice level was also really high when I asked for no spice. The 4 stars is mainly for customer service. But I wouldn’t eat there again.
3 stars for the freshness of the food. I ordered the chicken pad see ew and garlic chicken rice bowl. Not sure what I’m tasting here but definitely not what I usually taste when I order Thai food. Must be a real authentic Thai food which I’m not used to. Wish it had more soy sauce and fish sauce rather than a ton of added sugar.
Always get service with a smile. She makes it a point to remember my name every time. The food is always amazing. Fast service. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this owner. She’s so friendly, and very one on one with her interactions, and is very willing to go above and beyond. If you’re looking for thai food but don’t wanna wait for a long time or you’re on the go, definitely try this place.
What can I say, hands down the best Thai food around. The portions are large, and the prices are reasonable. Each meal is like 2 meals, I have yet to finish any of her meals in one sitting. My goal is to try every meal on the menu. Winnie is the best and is willing to adjust the food to your liking. Get in line because as soon as word of mouth gets out about this place the line is going to be long. Keep up the good work winnie your food is delicious!
Winnie runs this place like a well oiled machine and does it with a smile. The chicken pad thai was awesome! The portions are generous. The egg rolls are made fresh daily. Personally I stop by for thai iced coffee a few times a week now that I know she has it.Bottom line, great food, fair prices, generous potions, and reasonable turn around time.
OMG.... Great authentic Thai cuisine in a cute food truck. I had Crab pad Thai noodles and it was awesome. Also some yummy fried tofu. Screw McDonald's... I will go to Winnie's instead. As u wait for your order...I had a drink at Roccos Bar and she brought it over. Service deluxe. Definitely a place to go.
The BEST Thai food in the Portland metro area, hands down. Yeah, it's a tiny food cart in a bar parking lot, but it's phenomenal!Tons of flavor and every item is perfectly cooked. Huge portions. Not very expensive. I had the yakisoba and my husband had the crab pad Thai. We kept looking at each other like, "Can you believe how GOOD this is?!?"Winnie is friendly and kind and her food deserves to be mentioned alongside the more well-known/popular restaurants in the Portland area.If you're ever in the area of 82nd Ave in Happy Valley, you gotta eat here. Although, I'd drive miles out of my way for Winnie's food.
Awesome Thai food made with love you can taste! Winnie is so sweet and funny. She will leave you with no doubt she loves to cook for you! Highly recommend.
