Great food! The fried tamale with eggs is amazing. And their beans with pork (frijoles con puerco) are the best I ever had.
I ordered the COCHINITA PIBIL Tamale & it was steamed in a banana leaf. I'd never heard of a tamale cooked in a banana leaf! The filling was tasty but the corn masa was way too thick for me, about 3/8-1/5" thick.Their refried beans were very flavorful but runny enough to be called a soup.There are some other items on their menu that look interesting so I plan to give them a second try in the future.

I don't know what they are calling this but nothing like Azteca,Mexican or any other countries food. Queso fundido was ok not hot not cold just meh. Lacked some salt with that cheese. Good portion but the chips that were supposed to be fresh fried tasted a day or two old. Pricy for some churched up mexican food. Not hot in temperatures and bland in taste would not reccomend.
The worst food. Ever. I asked for a dairy free option they said they could make enchiladas dairy free. The “Enchilada” was absolutely awful. It was tiny little street taco tortillas filled with cheese with a tiny amount of meat on the side. It was absolutely packed with cheese and dairy. I had already paid for a tip and my meal and there was nothing I could do to fix it. My mom also ordered a chicken burrito and got a veggie one. Shortly after she got sick. Avoid this place at all costs. They don’t care about their customers AT all.
After reading the reviews I was excited to give them a try i ordered a classic steak burrito and 3 steak tacos. Cost was $28 and change. I got this order to go and had a short drive home i was shocked to see how small the burrito was..looked to be maybe 5in in length and the tacos where cold and watery.it was my fault for not checking my order before leaving. Was extremely disappointed in the amount of food for the money. Having poor quality
We have had your food many times since you opened. The last 2 times we have ordered a side of rice it was less than half a much as it used to be. On our in house side they had just switched to a new plate style instead of takeout boxes so we thought that was the reason. But got takeout today and the picture is how much we got. I am very disappointed with the amount you get now, the price is the same as it was. I probably won't order the rice again. In case the picture doesn't show well there is about a half inch of rice in the box.
I am here now and love this place. Best burrito ever. One of my favorite places to eat.
Love Tamale Boy on NE Dekum but noticed it is closed. No sign and quite a few people going to the door.
