Really nice place. Clean. A lot of different food. Delicious sashimi and sushi ? ?. Highly recommend
Too much to choose! I always get full before I'm halfway done, haha. My favorites are the sticky buns and the dessert soups. They have amazing variety.
I do not know why this restaurant gets bad reviews. Yes you need not sit and graze all day. Two hours. Is plenty of time to visit and eat. Yes. They do watch for wasted food. Try something new once. Then go back and get more. High end Sushi restaurants have this policy. The Sushi is good. The variety is good. The seafood selection is great. Carving station has ham, turkey, sausages and prime rib. Salad bar & chines dishes are all good. My family has been coming to this restaurant when we are in Portland since it opened. Its clean. The staff is friendly. Variety for everyone at the table. With food costs the price is fair.
Strong bad smell once you enter this place. Low quality food. Over priced. Dirty place.When it comes to food, I’m way much picky so I’d try out different places to see which one is good. But, my decision to go Kumi was the terrible one to make. It’s stinking as hell so make sure wear multiple masks before that stinky smell ruins your taste. Also, it’s so overpriced- almost $25 per person. I strongly recommend you not going there!
not coming back to this place ever again. food was NOT fresh. service was terrible. everything has gone downhill at this place except for the price. weekend lunch/dinner has gone up to $25.99 per person without any difference compared to other weekdays. There are other better buffet place out there people. They say they have a 2 hour dine in limit. At 1 hr 15 min, the owner gave us our bill and we took like 15 min to gather our stuff and a baby was still eating. I'm pretty sure we were not at our 2 hour mark because I timed it lol (it's a habit I pick up from work). The owner and her husband plus some other employees gave us the look. They kept looking at us until we got in our car. It was so uncomfortable. We spent about $300 for a party of 10 to get that kind of attitude towards us?Don't go there people if you wanna be treated like us!and Kumi, don't worry you'll never see us again!
It's okay.. it seemed like all the food was just room temperature. So the cold food was a little warm and the hot food was a little cold. Service was okay. No one came to offer us drinks until after we had finished our second plates of food. When she did finally stop at our table she was very nice though. Over all the idea of this place is great, it's just poorly executed I think. We probably won't go again.
Decent food, lots of sushi for sushi lovers. Some crawdad creatures ( yuck ) little grilled calamari and nowhere near as good as Tin Tin's Calamari. If you want carved meat good luck getting help. Prime rib is super over cooked, dry and seriously taste like a dry roast. Extremely over priced as well
I ate here for the first time and was amazed by the cleanliness of the restaurant/buffet area, the friendliness of the staff and the deliciousness of the food. 20.00 per person is definitely worth it, especially with the variety of foods that they have. They also offer dishes that are expensive, so you're getting a good deal. I will be back with my family for my bday celebration. Thank you.
I was a regular visitor at this restaurant for years. Both the food and the service have gone totally downhill, and the price keeps going up, almost double of what I used to pay. Dinner and lunch are the same price now. Food items I used to love have disappeared, and some items were dried out. Some items just weren't prepared with the care with which they used to be. The sushi area was the same size as it used to be, but a good number of the offerings were close to identical to those on other trays on the line. The service long ago was pretty good, but now they have young men who spend their time chatting by the drinks area instead of helping clients, unless you're Asian. I had to flag them for napkins, water, and the bill. Nothing was cleared for over an hour. The hostess is rude unless you're a good-looking Asian man. I left feeling insulted and depressed. Go somewhere else
Good hot food. Good sushi for a pretty solid price. You can spend 20 on a single roll at a sushi joint or get all you can eat on weekdays. Plus im a gross monster and try to eat my weight in yum yums.
