This place could be cool, but it has weird rules that I have never seen in a bar. Can't play music on the jutebox, can only order certain shots, can only order shots up to a certain time...it's like they forgot who they are there for. I suspect this is a perfect example of a bartender given to much authority...I really don't know how they stay open, unless the owners have deep pockets...I'm certain they won't for long.
Great service and the food is really good, the fish and chips were amazing.I don't know if its just my luck, but everytime I go to Jay's the customers are exceptionally nice and fun.I personally prefer not to go here on Friday and Saturday nights. Its busy and fun and comfortable, with mostly a younger crowd. Ive never seen any problems.Its me, not them, a few years ago I would"ve came every weekend. At 55 yrs old I've been to so many weekend party places that I'm about over it. All though I Highly recommend Jays to all ages to eat, meet nice people, relax and enjoy yourself with good customer service.
My friend was attacked and racial profile for not wanting to stand out in the rain to wait for her Uber. 2 staff members of this place of may 1 @1:15 pulled a chair from underneath my friend as she sat at a unoccupied table by the bar to wait for her uber, he then grabbed her manly and it escalated to my friend had to defend herself while not hurting herself. She was wearing heels. The guy put my little friend into a headlock to the point she couldn't breathe. They had no rights to approach her racial remarks nor put there hands on customer, especially if your not a licensed security officer. Her family has taken action to file a law suit against them
Our little after work group has been coming here a couple times a month for a few months now. I have yet to have a disappointing experience. Service is polite and prompt, the bar is clean, good safe atmosphere. They have a strict carding policy that I can appreciate.Every dish I have ordered has been a win. I enjoy the steak nachos, BBQ chicken salad and the super grill. The beer is cold, glasses clean and cocktails made right. Not much more you can ask of a sports bar.
Sat at the bar watched so many people get served before me ...never been so ignored ever sitting in front of her! other 2 times got told basically had to table serve myself cause they were to busy cleaning up from the rush they had... that was still there AND OVER SERVED! Chick took the bloody mary out of my hand and drank out it! I would never go there again.... thought i might have to pick my own food up at the window.....
Went to this bar to celebrate a birthday. 10 minutes into being there, the fire station outside goes off. We take our party inside to be warm. 3 minutes later I went to order a drink and a curly heavier woman told me I had been drinking too much. When I had been in that bar for no more than 10-15 minutes. Then she goes on to say I might of smoked something too… lady, I been in your bar for 10 minutes?? I ordered my drink 10 min ago, how are you telling me and my party that? I asked to check their cameras for proof I had too many to drink or “smoked” something, but of course they denied to do that. 6 Hispanic men walk into a bar and 10 minutes later we get accused of drinking too much and smoking. Coincidence? You tell me. Stay way from this place.
Good drinks, good food, I come in there a lot and they still don't recognize me. I get I.D.'d every... single.... time.... And I get it, there is a sign at the front door that says they I.D. everyone, but at least let me get to the counter before asking me to whip out my old lady card.Other than that, service is usually alright but you have to go to the counter to get stuff which can be a little annoying. I love the music selections and the pool tables in the back. Seems like a fun place and it's not too crowded.
It was pretty alright. I guess there was a football game on so that was the main focus of the entire establishment. We didn’t get a food menu and once we sat down the bartenders paid us no mind. No checking if we wanted more drinks, no offering of food, nothing. It wasn’t bad, but we won’t be back.
Best quesadilla I've EVER had, drinks were great and staff was amazing & super friendly. Will definitely be back!
