The man that is always working behind the counter here is the sweetest person ever! The food is great, and usually takes about 10-15 minutes to get. If you eat there, you get some yummy egg drop soup. Highly recommend.
Food was terrible, we ended up throwing most of it away. I asked for extra sauce on the Yakisoba and they charged me $1.50 for it but did not put it on there. Very little meat in the Yakisoba but had huge pieces of mushrooms and really did not taste good at all. We won't be going there again.
This place was awesome. Extremely welcoming, clean, and friendly/ quick service. Huge and delicious portions for super affordable price! A new favorite!
I have been coming here for years. The quality has gone down while the price has gone up. Purchased the egg flour soup and chicken teriyaki today and the soup was not enjoyable which I usually love from this place. The rice was dry but the chicken wasn’t bad. For $10.50 for a chicken And rice I think I will go elsewhere if this is the quality.
I usually order the vegetable tofu teriyaki. Can’t speak to the meat menu. It’s really delicious! Best Teriyaki in Happy Valley (and Portland? ?)!
Been coming here for years and the food is great. The issue, however, lies in the owner’s attitude. I have experienced this first hand when I ordered 2 teriyaki plates over the phone, went to pick them up and after putting my card in was prompted with the tip screen. I also had a 20% coupon that they regularly send out. I give him the coupon, and he says “no tip?” Pretty aggressively. And I confirm with him that I will not be providing him with a tip that day. He then asks me two more times if I will be giving him a tip and then I assure him that today isn’t the day. He even explicitly points out I have a coupon insinuating that a tip is absolutely necessary. After leaving I say thank you and he doesn’t say anything but just gives me a dirty look… for what? The whole interaction was just awkward and really weird… I check my card statement only to find out that he didn’t even apply to discount and the amount charged on the card wasn’t accurate to what was displayed on the screen at the restaurant. Go during the afternoon where the owner isn’t working to enjoy the food, definitely don’t go during the evening unless you want to be treated strangely.
Good food, but wish they didn't use styrofoam take out containers.
Got the order wrong, double checked with me at the table, then still got the order wrong. But it was quick, so at least they messed it up fast.
Good food done right and quickly. My wife and I got enough leftovers for two full meals!
