I really enjoyed my yummy Barbeque Chicken Salad and Blueberry Lavender Mojito. The menu is quite extensive with a nice selection of salads. I love that they credit the person who invented the recipe on specials. Service was attentive and prompt.
I've been here a few times for various occasions (date night, company in town, work functions, visit with friends). The food has always been delicious, the options are great & the service is quick! I'd certainly recommend it as a "local spot" to take out of town guests to! It's also wonderful when the weather cooperates & you can sit outside. Will be back soon!
Servers are openly discussing their one night flings in full detail with co-workers in front of children. Check your forks and knives and even plates, I promise you there will be hard cheese from barely washing dishes before sending them back out, glasses with lipstick on them. Sanitizing liquids that are to be changed out hourly with warm water (red buckets by condiments) will remain unchanged for hours upon hours before this liquid is splashed across your table to "clean" it, meanwhile rags that clean anything are dipped in this cold grey water all day. Food is very salty and mainly just cheap low quality bar food to encourage more drink purchases, meat cheese salt repeat. Staff will smoke cigarettes right in front of building or barely to the side and often do not wash hands when returning. This facilities commitment to an inclusive and judgement free environment is extremely questionable, as they will let employees go if "not a cultural fit", I'm sure we know what that excuse is for.....
I've come through Hop n drops about four times now and I always order the chicken taquitos. They are made with egg roll wrapper rather than tortilla and are light crunchy and delicious. For a place that has been in it's name, they don't really have a big selection but they always have something I have enjoyed. Very friendly staff and excellent service.
We always enjoy our visits here. This most recent time, I had their chowder and salad, both were awesome. The server told us the chowder gets raves, and he was right- it's the best I've had anywhere. The salad with fried chicken was big and fresh.
Sadly I had to pick only from breakfast menu ?♂️I am giving my takeout order following rating: Burrito 3⭐️ tacos2⭐️ service/presentation 3⭐️I chose this place based on mostly good reviews and definitely because of yummy looking pictures. Unfortunately this is what I got (morning tacos) ?

Great bar fare menu, super friendly, and their beer is pretty tasty. Great addition to the Happy Valley bar and restaurant scene! High recommend!
Amazing experience. Would highly recommend. I would go here over any burger place any day. The customer service is stellar. You can really tell they care about their customers and love their job. The food was also so amazing, I was quite literally drooling. I was blown away about the atmosphere and the food. Everyone should experience this place at least once.
Update 12/12/21: Already Hops n Drops has shown that they care about their customer's experience by quickly and professionally responding to my review, moving them up to 4 stars.Original Review 12/11/21: First of all, I intend to visit this restaurant again in hopes that I will have a better experience and can revise this review. The menu, while not gf friendly, has a great selection of really tasty sounding dishes. I had the queso dip with tortilla chips and thought it was really good. My friend had the steak salad and it looked like a good-sized portion and was presented well. Ignoring the fact the lemon drop was served in ice, the drink itself was okay. Next time I’ll ask to have it poured into a regular glass. The idea of serving in a “glass” made of ice is novel, but not practical. I’m sure many people find it fun, it just isn’t for me personally. My friend didn’t enjoy it either. Her drink got watery fast. Lemon drops aren’t served on the rocks for a reason, they aren’t very good diluted! There are various flavors available for drops so I’m eager to try those next time (minus the ice). My main reason for three stars, hopefully five stars next time, was the service. The server was friendly and polite, and I suspect we just caught her at the end of a long day and she was feeling done. She never asked us if we wanted another drink, which we actually did want. We were given one set of silverware and one napkin after pointing out we had none, I never did get any napkins. She never came to ask us about our meal or if there was anything else she could get for us. Then towards the end of our meal she asked if we’d cash out so she could end her shift. Clearly another drink or dessert wasn’t an option! That was disappointing. I think this restaurant is worth trying overall so will give it a second chance.
