I have heard many good things about this place from my co workers. So I decided to give it a try. Wow crispy chickens! Flavor is spot on. Pickled radishes pair well with the chickens. You guys should try the japchae. Delicious! I've gotta come back to try other items on their menus.
This place reads like a fast food restaurant with high-ish prices, but once the food comes it changes everything. The fried chicken is really fantastic, the fried rice was on point, and fries were good. They had an eclectic but good beer list. Get the half half mix, both are super worth it. We got family meal with boneless wings and drumsticks half half sauces. My wife says "spicy is really spicy", I say 6/10 but nice lasting heat.
Pretty tasty chicken, not exactly fried chicken you’d get in Korea but still good. My kids loved the garlic soy chicken strips and liked that it wasn’t overly sauced and not a super thick breading. It had a nice balance of crunch and sauce. Will come back again and try something else.
The food tastes good but I ordered a ttoekbokki and there’s literally only 5 rice cakes in there. It’s basically a spicy soup ??ok, found more but like…8.
The best fried chicken that I have had since moving to Portland 6 years ago. Will definitely eat here at least once a week. Clean environment, nice staff and quick service. And to my surprise. The coleslaw taste like it was made down south. It literally took me back to FL/ ALA.
I've heard good things about this place and nothing was false. Amazing chicken. Unlike and other double fried chicken I've had in the past. Unique flavor and perfect pickled veg.
Good food! Great staff! Thank you for amazing staff who help remind me one of my fav dishes which are pork buns.
The soy garlic drumsticks are my favorite chicken ever, and the last time I got food there, it was half and hour until they closed and they made my food no big deal and the service was great. But just the other day I went in 40 minutes until they were supposed to close and they told me they weren’t taking any more orders without any explanation AFTER watching me contemplate my order for a minute instead of just immediately saying so. Was very disappointed as I live 2 hours away and for three weeks I was looking forward to taking some chicken home with me as it’s rare for me to be in the Portland area. In my opinion, if you’re going to close early at least lock the door or put the closed sign up.
I went to Bonchon earlier tonight with high hopes. Don’t get me wrong, the chicken was delicious but the costumer service on the other hand… ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I walked in with my family and we weren’t even welcomed or greeted. When we were finally helped we asked the difference between the flavors and the girl helping us was so rude, looked at us as if we should know the answer and completely ignored the question. I tried brushing it off because I know that working in the food industry can be a lot but there is a difference between having a bad day and being rude. When we got the food she just handed it to us and didn’t say a word. WE EVEN TIPPED THEM. I am utterly disappointed with my experience at this store and will NOT be going back.
This place deserves 100 million stars. The food here is perfect always comes out fresh. This was the highlight of our trip to Portland. If you are ever in Portland you have to come here the food is so freaking delicious.
