I have been coming to this restaurant for years. I have always been able to substitute my hash browns for a salad of no charge because I am a diabetic and I just enjoy a salad rather than cottage cheese. A new lady or at least the lady I have never seen work there had extremely rude customer service and refused to let me get the thing I always get from here she continue to tell me that the person who normally gives me the salad is in the wrong.Lost a long time customer that came often because if a VERY RUDE lady they have there. Seriously disappointed
I've been here twice in the past month, both times I ordered Chicken fried steak and eggs. Definitely huge, but the gravy is just awful.Actually it's not awful, it's just tasteless. I came back a second time before leaving a review just to make sure, and yep, it's got absolutely no taste. Is it nothing but flour and milk with no seasoning?!? Some beef bouillon powder would do wonders to make it taste good.The staff was super friendly, and the place looks well maintained inside, but no amount of Tabasco sauce and salt seemed to help the gravy. Definitely disappointing, and we won't be back.
Honestly if you put a Elmer's sign or a Sherry's sign above this restaurant you would know exactly what you're getting however they pretend to be something other than what they are and do they like to give you large portions of disgusting food. Ordered their biscuits and gravy to find the biscuits had been sweetened for some reason and the gravy tasted like wet flower paste. Can't say I was too shocked since the last time I was there was 10 years ago and that time I also had a huge pile of gross food that I ended up nibbling at and leaving behind. The employees are relatively friendly unless you say something that they disagree with and then don't bother looking for your server to come back until they give you your bill.

Outstanding customer service. A lot of food for the money. Eggs ok, but bacon was the best I've had in a long time. Need to cook the hashbrowns more, they were limp and tasteless. I heard people say the chicken fried steak was good

My friend and I dined in at McCrae's for breakfast I ordered 1/2 ham and cheddar omelet crispy hashbrowns, side of crisp bacon and wheat toast with jam. The omelet was jam packed with ham it took up 1/2 of my large plate, the other 1\2 all beautifully golden brown crispy hashbrowns and toast on its own plate with jam. Now I ordered a side of bacon which came on its own large plate ,5 tantalizing crisp pieces of the best bacon around at least 9 or 10 in. Long no lie ! Servers never let my coffee get cold this place Mcrae's I'm telling ya I have never been served so well with such good eats ever. In Gresham on Powell across from Gresham grade school ✨?????Ps split pea soup just like moms.
Love McCrae’s favorite spot to eat after church! Normally we walk out with a container/s of food. Not today! Our waitress was really nice and friendly. She always asked if everything was okay and if needed refills.
Great spot for breakfast. Staff is kind and work diligently. Food is always delicious and very generous in portion size!
The food was great! You get a huge amount. Better come hungry or plan on bringing leftovers home!
