No wait staff. You place order at register and food is brought out. Service was pretty fast on a Friday evening. Not too busy. Solid beer selection. Brussel sprout appetizer was awesome. Pork nachos only a 2 star but overall a solid spot
I almost never leave reviews for places except in two situations. If a place went above and beyond. Or if a place was quite terrible, which I don’t even think I’ve done before. The old saying, “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all.” But I want to like the Haul. Great location, solid atmosphere, and nice outdoor seating. But the food was honestly terrible. And I’m fairly easy to please when it comes to food. The spicy fried chicken sandwich was burnt to a crisp and tasted like the frying oil was extremely old. If I could bite through outside of the sandwich, the chicken inside was over cooked to jerky level in toughness. And the fries were barely crispy and had more wet and soggy parts than anything else. I want to come back back, but it won’t be for awhile now. Please address your kitchen issues. Thank you for listening to my TED talk.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!I thought I would try this place out for the first time I was extremely disappointed. Me and my daughter both got food poisoning from macaroni and cheese . After calling the restaurant andAnd speaking to Austin he assured me he would give me a full refund if I came in the next day. I come into find out it’s Austin’s day off so I ask to speak to the owner his name is John he was extremely rude and told me he could not believe we got sick and he made me show him on my online bank proof we ate there . John was not sympathetic at all instead he got really rude and made excuses . I would not recommend eating there at all also the server was not very attentive at all when we walked inWORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! I only gave one star cause it made me pick stars to post I would have given 0 stars Horrible
AMAZING! We came in for brunch yesterday with 4 other families including 10 children, the chef came out to us to offer doing family style for the kids, it's been years since we've been able to sit down and fully enjoy a brunch of this quality with out having any issue. Our servers were fantastic as well , providing us with one of our most memorable meals in grants pass! Definitely will be back again
Stoped in for brunch this Sunday Fantastic food , and the service was stellar as well ! We will be back again
The Haul is our go-to dinner spot in Grants Pass, OR and we met a couple of friends there recently. The staffing shortage in the local food industry was evident as the level of service was off. And, our normally delicious mushroom pizza was dry and lacking mushrooms. Falafel was good. We’re rooting for The Haul’s return to greatness.
The food was very bland BUT the pizza.Scott, the pizza guy-He changed our entire experience. We went from, “the is disappointing”, to “oh my goodness, we will have to call to see when he’s working next just to order during his hours!”He made our experience worth the trip.THANK YOU; FROM OUE LARGE PARTY!SCOTT!We appreciate you and how kind you were! Our food that was baked by you- was perfect! You’re the reason for the positive review. Thanks again!
Yum! We came in on a Friday night, ordered a little of everything and enjoyed it all! The food came quickly and the drinks were good. We had pizza, tacos, Mac and Cheese, falafel and the steak sandwich. We will be back!
Sandwiches, salads and beer in an rustic informal setting. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was fine. Mostly a beer place but the Red OR Blend wine was a nice surprise.
great food, drinks, water, and outstanding service. Their soups are the best in town. I'm wanting to try their pizza pies and desserts next time.
