We had a large group, and when we pulled into the packed parking lot, we had doubts we would be able to get a table without a significant wait. However, since we were willing to sit inside (the outdoor seating is apparently preferred, since the restaurant sits by a river), we were seated quickly. Yea! Our server was delightful, friendly and helpful. I had a Manhattan, which was done well. I asked about modifying a menu item, because I don't eat shrimp, and my request was cheerfully accepted. The 9 of us sat 4/5 on each side of a long table. Those seated on one side of the table got their food reasonably quickly. There was probably at least a 10-minute delay for the diners on the opposite side of the table. Meanwhile, the dinners of those who were patiently waiting for the rest of the meals to be service, were getting cold. Two of those ordered the Patty Melt. They said it was possibly the worst thing they had ever had in a restaurant; dry and no flavor. When my meal finally arrived (Dungeness Crab over pasta with Alfredo Sauce, it was very tasty, and not a shrimp to be found (just the way I had ordered it!) The atmosphere both inside and outside the restaurant is lovely. All complaints seem to stem from issues in the kitchen. Management was informed of the problem. Whether or not they will be able to correct it is up to them.

I met a friend there for breakfast on a Sunday at 9. No waiting. Gorgeous views, stunning dining room with high ceilings. Brandy was our server, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The food was DELICIOUS. I had a veggie skillet and blueberry muffin. My friend had the avocado Benedict. Ingredients were fresh and quality. I found the prices reasonable for the quality and presentation.

We chose this restaurant because it was a short walk from our hotel. It has a pub feel and mostly offers sandwiches and burgers. The non-burger entrees were not inspiring. We did enjoy the view, but the place is very noisy.

if you are lucky enough to sit by the window or on the deck, you will have a great view of the river. Salads are delicious, sweet potato fries so good and street tacos very tasty. Organic side salad a delight. we sat down stairs and enjoyed lunch at 3pm. easy parking. this has become our favorite place.

We wanted to love Taprock because of the beautiful building and location but this place is an absolute joke... Food is terrible sysco quality at best, and still very expensive. Ordered happy hour burgers and they were almost $20 each and burnt like hockey pucks. I really hope it gets new owners soon so that this place can be revived to be a place Grants Pass Residents can be proud of instead of ashamed of. Anyone who comes here more than once is only coming for the view

Unique location for this multilevel eatery on the river. Service was great, food good but not gourmet, excellent beer selection as well. I would eat there again for sure, especially in warmer weather where you can sit outside. Lodge architecture is really attractive and atmosphere comfy and relaxed.

We both had Prime rib sandwiches which were very good. I ordered a beer from the menu and was told they didn't have it anymore, but had Mac and Jack s which is one of my favorites. The service was fast, efficient and very friendly. A new to go place when travelling through Oregon.

First of all, the whole restaurant is just gorgeous! We had lunch out on the deck with a stunning river view. Drinks and food came out at a very reasonable time, and the server was polite and friendly. We are from the coast but frequently make trips over, and will 100% be back again!

We ordered the basket with oysters, shrimp, & fish. All the food was over cooked and hard. Service was terrific. We would not go back

Awesome food, great staff. Ordered a crab salad (lots, yummy) and the halibut tacos (lots and yum yum) compliments to the chef. Accommodating staff ensuring my food was hot and on time.
