Love, love, love this restaurant. Atmosphere is inviting, as if part of the family, the employees go out of their way to make everyone feel comfortable, and a wide range of food/drink selections. Clean, well organized up keep. Shari's will always be my home away from home.
Just had breakfast here with my daughter. The service was over the top! Even though Heidi was busy she was attentive and super friendly. Thank you Heidi, food service is hard work and I appreciate you taking such good care of us today!
We had a perfect breakfast here. Everything was cooked perfectly, the hash browns were crispy on the out side and tender on the in. Came with toast OR 2 pancakes or french toast.I had the French toast and it was also perfect. Just the right amount of cinnamon and perhaps vanilla?
Dear Cook, don't touch raw meat and then serve fresh fruit without washing your hands. I happen to know for a fact that you've been doing this.
Would put a 0 star but not an option. Worst service I have ever received. Took over and hour and a half to get milk shakes. Took almost as long to get our orders on the right tickets. Our server even seemed to be getting upset at us for him not being able to figure it out. Wasn't very busy either.
My husband and I went in for what used to be out favorite meal. Country fried steak and eggs with stuffed hash browns and a side of brioche french toast. Never again. Upon asking for to go containers, I got up and proceeded to the restroom. I have to say, I have been in rest areas and truck stops that were cleaner than this! Needless to say, my leftovers will immediately become compost. The worst part is... You can clearly see the water damage from overflowing toilets at the bottom of the door.... And the kitchen is adjacent to the restroom. Imagine what THOSE corners look like.. no thanks
Someone ought to teach them some common sense. The hook to hang your purse on in the womens handicap stall is not only broken it is too high for a person in a wheelchair to use.The Northwestern Salad is horrible. The romaine was brown on all the stem areas of the leaves. The pecans were chopped so small they were hard to put on a fork and the grilled red onions were fine but too few.Wake up management, there are a lot of us who want good healthy food when we order a salad. Do you have knowledge of what a vegetable is?
Heard of their prime rib dinners after 2and had to check it out. It was excellent and prepared to order. Service was attentive without being intrusive.
The manager Wendy accused me of putting hair in my food when I let her know that I found hair one in my salad and one in my appetizers called the board of health because they definitely need to be shut down
I recently cooked here for two weeks and it's by far the dirtiest grossest kitchen I've ever seen! In that 2 weeks time I never once saw the cook wash his hands! Back from the bathroom, straight back to cooking. The manager would step in from her little office and just start handling people's food. I witnessed cross contamination multiple times! I watched the cook smash together two raw hamburger patties then a few seconds later scoop the cut melon fruit mix out of the container with his nasty, bloody, beef hands! Everything and I mean everything is coated with nasty grease and grime. Everything comes prepackaged and half of it is just microwaved. I thought I was applying for a cook job and that wasn't anything that resembled cooking. It was slinging nasty grease slop as fast as you can. Its just a matter of time before they make people really sick and I don't want to be involved in that in any way! Half of the dishes and containers in the clean rack have old food stuck to them from previous customer's. The old food under the burners in the egg cooking station caught fire daily from the inches deep of pure nastiness. I am not a disgruntled employee. I chose to quit and I feel that there are some really nice people who work there but they seem to have no conscious to what they are serving to they're customer's. As I looked out from the rat hole kitchen at the beautiful faces of senior citizens and children I sobbed internally knowing that we are serving them pure sh!t. The pies come frozen so that's what I recommend you order but hopefully your plate won't have old cheese stuck to it from a previous customer. ..maybe order it in a clean to go box. I've worked in quite a few restaurants and I've never seen anything close to this filth! I am positive that McDonald's or any other fast food joint is 20 times cleaner than the Grant's Pass Shari's. I seriously had no idea that a restaurant could be that disgusting and still pass a health code inspection. My conscious absolutely couldn't allow me to be involved in that nonsense any longer. I made it a whopping 14 days or so before I made the right decision and walked away from that madness. I turned down good money for self pride. My rule has always been that if I won't eat it I won't serve it to anyone and when none of the employees eat anything from there it speaks volumes to what they are serving. Its always brought me much happiness to know people enjoy the food I make and that job, never once, came close to that sense of pride. It brought depression, sadness, and a real sense of fear that I was going to be a part of making people seriously ill! None of my friends or family will ever eat there again. I would seriously rather eat the disgusting taco bell or the week old nachos from am pm across the street. I refuse to gamble with people's health and I refuse to choose money over self dignity! Never again Shari's.... never again.
