I've been to various Elmer's locations before. This one was right next to my hotel, so it was quite convenient. I stopped in solo for a light dinner. I was seated right away, and my waitress was prompt and courteous. I ordered the avocado benedict (breakfast for dinner!), and it arrived quickly. It was quite good! The price was reasonable too. I would definitely go here again.

In 1960, Walt and Dorothy Elmer opened breakfast focused Elmer’s Colonial Pancake House in Portland, OR. Truly a family owned and operated labor of love, Walt, Dorothy, and their three sons poured their hearts into serving the local community. It was an immediate success thanks to their commitment to bringing people together for home-style cooking, using only the finest ingredients.Built on the foundation of Walt Elmer’s famous buttermilk pancakes, the original recipe for pancake batter was purchased for $1,000 and rumor has it that Walt kept it locked in his safe. We still use Walt’s original recipe today!Over the years, the menu was expanded with lunch and dinner items and the restaurant became Elmer’s Pancake & Steakhouse. In 1966, Elmer’s began franchising and continues to grow to this day.Including the newest addition, Egg N’ Joe, there are now 29 Elmer's locations throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California and Arizona.

Big German pancakes are delicious and addictive. So yummy!Service is always quick and courteous.Lots of staff working together to make sure your needs are met. Great teamwork! They have great staff, who check on you often. Love this place for Sunday's after church or family breakfast at any time. They are very accommodating for big parties.

Great service and friendly people.

Outstanding!Great food and even better service. You got to stop by if you’re in the area. Had the chicken fried breakfast, amazing!

We stopped at Elmer's to get off of the snowy and icy roads for a bit. We needed to relax as a family and have a meal inside the restaurant. Even though they were closing in one hour, they continued to let folks come in and get a warm meal. The staff and the food were amazing. I wish the restaurant wasn't so far away. It could easily become one of our go to restaurants.

This Elmer's restaurant is our favorite for breakfast. It's very clean, the menu is full of wonderful dishes and entrees, and the food is well prepared and delicious. The wait staff are all friendly and do a great job serving their guests.I feel we're lucky to have this particular Elmer's restaurant so near our home.

Awesome Prime rib Dinner ?️.

Very nice and efficient. The food was very good but kind of pricy. Like 16$ a piece for breakfast. I was still hungry when I left, plus a drink and tip. For two dollars more we could have rented a u-haul for 24 hours. and we did, cause we're moving. It's because everyone gets paid more. As if they had a degree.

Elmers is a great place especially for breakfast. Family friendly with an extensive menu. I love the Mr Elmers Favorite omelet and the German pancake with chicken apple sausage, friendly service, clean and comfortable.
