We've lived in Grants Pass for 2 years and just had our first experience at Bohemian. Thank the pandemic for that. The vibe is cool and relaxed, if a bit loud. The building is old brick with great features. I'd like to make a residence out of something like that.Anyway, I had the Basic Cheese Burger, which sported a "Wagyu" pattie on a brioche bun. I have to say that the beef flavor was killer, with a perfect crust on each side of the pattie, but the kitchen needs to learn how to apply a little seasoning. My copilot had the Goyza, which are Japanese dumplings, about which she had nothing but praise. This is cool, since she makes these with our Japanese friends!Oh, yeah, the fried cheese curds are almost religious in nature. Have some!We shall meet the Bohemian again, and in short order.
We stopped for lunch the other day and a bit disappointed. On a positive note the service was quite good. Not so much the food. My wife had the Ahi sandwich. The Tuna was basically tasteless but she liked the dressing. I had two Bad Boy burgers and ate neither one. They were ordered medium rare and fist one was medium well and second even more well done. The burger was taken off the bill but that did not help my desire for lunch. We won't be back. BObK
Stopped here for dinner on a road trip—what a nice surprise! The bartender made sure we had cocktails made special for our different tastes! And the food—wow! I had a pasta dish that was exceptional (recommended by our server:bartender). My husband had the special (shrimp tacos) and said they were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant!
We are locals in the area for thirty years. We had never known about or been to the Bohemia until we saw a show about it on local TV. Tried it for lunch. Showed up when they open at 11;30 and by 12;00 the place was packed with locals. Very friendly staff, especially our server Kenny. Husband had two of the specials combined. The pork sandwich with the chicken noodle soup. Both were excellent but he raved about the soup. I tried the burger with brie, gorgonzola, caramelized onions and bacon...OMG with fries. Huge burger, can't believe I ate the whole thing. Small Pacific Northwest feel with a few tables on the sidewalk. Exceptional prices. We are already planning our next visit...Brunch.
Nice atmosphere.Love the imperial pomgrenade cider.Good service. It was very busy with a short wait-list on a cold Monday night. Guess that means this place is very popular.I hope we'll manage to come back here to try more from the menu.
This place had the best beer cheese soup. I'm from Bend and I would travel here just for the beer cheese soup, no lie. Just found out that the menu changed and it's no longer served and I'm highly disappointed. I've searched for the best beer cheese soups for years and no place has ever come close to the elite beer cheese soup that was served here. I will sell an organ for you guys to put the beer cheese soup on the menu againEDIT:You guys are so sweet, thank you so much for the recipe. I can't wait to try your other bomb soups!
Bohemian is amazing! Great staff, original cocktails and of course an amazing chef that thinks out of the box! Definitely my first pick to go to!
Love this place. Friendly staff, great drinks, and yummy food.
Had lunch here today and the gyro sandwich with salad was so delicious!! Prompt, attentive service. The place was pretty full but I was able to be seated at the bar right away. I’m excited to go back and try more of the menu. Prices were reasonable too!
A friend and I were both first-time diners. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere fun and cozy. (A biggie for me, the restroom was clean). Onto the main event, the food. Their Mykonos burger has replaced my former favorite. There is a little surprise I won't share here. But the meat was juicy, not dry like so many other places. The aioli was absolutely delicious and the mix of cucumber, onion, lemon and tomato on the ciabatta roll was the perfect combination. There is feta. I had coleslaw that was rough cut, crunchy and not drowned in the usual mayonnaise bath so many restaurants rely on. Good job, Bohemian. Look out, cuz I'll be back. With friends.
