Food is delicious, always.Food is wrong, always.I've never picked up an order from them that they didn't make a mistake on.Every.Time.It's like nobody can read directions.Been this way for nearly 5 years... so it's obviously not one person, but the fault of mangent and training. Or, lack of training.
I liked the ahi tuna poke bowl a lot, as well as the beef bulgogi plate. However, in my opinion the onigiri had too much furikake on top that it masked the taste of the filling (bbq pork). I am also a very big fan of the pickled cucumbers they serve with their dishes, I could probably eat a whole jar of them. While not necessarily a go to, it’s always a good time when I want it.
Wow! I was so impressed with the quality of the food here. Usually when an entree says it comes with a salad, you get some limp tasteless iceburg lettuce, but not here! Ume offers fresh greens and crisp veggies with a to- die-for tahini dressing. The entees we ordered were delicious -- bulgogi beef, spicy chicken and garlic chicken. We can't wait to order from here again!
Highly recommend the miso butter salmon, love the onigiri, and their salad dressing is to die for, usually have a bottle in the fridge at all times!
Food WAS good from when I ordered delivery from UME one time. Now I’m standing in the restaurant right now, ordering takeout, WATCHING THEM COOK WITH THEIR BARE HANDS. In the middle of a pandemic? Really?
Awesome little skewer restaurant in downtown Eugene. Very quaint and inviting atmosphere. The decor here is super pretty and authentic. Food here smells and tastes delicious. Their isn't too much indoor seating, and the parking lot is pretty small. Definitely a great restaurant for lunch or dinner, Awesome restaurant to order from. Staff here is friendly and helpful.
I’m a big fan of their food truck location. This one has a larger menu and is slight more expensive, but you do get more food. I had the garlic pork and it’s a peanut sauce chicken skewer and it was great! I love their tahini dressing and salad.
Understaffed, bland, egregiously overpriced. $50 for two rice and chicken plates and two small apps. Ate indoors but got food in to go containers? Bizarre experience.
UME was our favorite lunch spot. Last night was the last night we would ever eat there. The menu changed but thats ok. Potstickers were undercooked, the kimchi rice was not the same and no flavor, the noodles were tough, and the new rice cup bowls smh no words. We spent 75.00 for dinner for 4 people and we had to go to McDonald’s after we threw half the food away.
The miso-butter salmon is SO flippin' delicious.
