Dry and flavorless. The presentation is good. My latte tasted burnt and gross. Pretty disappointed though :/

I'm not sure why it took me so long to try this place, its pretty amazing. I have to come back and sample the Greek food, this time, on a recommendation, I came for the Reuben. I try Reubens all over the area, some around here are passable, some are awful.. At the Tradewinds they are nothing short of amazing! Sure, were not in New York, I've no idea what they are like there, but for Oregon the Ruebens at this place are absolutely wonderful! Came with fries, which were hot, and yummy as well!I grew up buying sodas, beer and cigs at Jiffymart, long before the chain convenience stores moved in, so the location was familiar and comfortable. I am going back and trying more stuff, but it will be difficult not to order the Reuben again..

Tradewinds is an awesome restaurant for great Greek food and tasty handmade artisan sandwiches. They even make their own hummus! The inside eating area is kinda crowded, but the outdoor area is large and enclosed with wrap around windows. The prices here are definitely reasonable. They have a huge drink slection, and the customer service was great.

Ended up here on accident, just cruising around looking for somewhere to spend money on a bite.My review is divided. Starting with the bad and ending with the good:Customer service was something to be desired. Upon entrance, I didnt receive a hello or any acknowledgment from many staff that caught eye contact. No call out from them to others about customers in house, either. We all know how important that first impression is. I began to wonder if I chose the right place. The space it nice and tucked away. There seems to be a very nice covered outdoors space, although I didn't get a look. Kind of a sunroom setting.Inside has games and cards to use and a nice selection of local crafted brew in singles and 6 packs and deals on local wine. There was many unpacked boxes stacked in a large corner of the seating area. And open stock shelf within easy access which seemed odd.Food on the other hand met expectations. Ordered a Meze Snack. It had excellent plating/presentation/packaging to go. Fresh quality pickled items. Pita was good but the stars of the show were tatziki and hummus. Everything blended well into a great finger salad. To go containers are biodegradable. Cuisine is Organic Mediterranean. The traffic was semi busy. With singles and groups of 4+ seated inside and on the covered patio. Located inside Jiffy Wine and Deli.

The DP falafel was very good. Next time I'll pass on the fries. I should have placed the order online. I ordered in person and it took about 35 minutes to get the food.

Seriously, be prepared for "the truck stop" experience. Go to the cooler and grab your bottled drink, "would you like to have a glass with that?", and then wait for over 30 minutes for a salad, some fries, and a gyro. Two of the three other couples had already been served, so it wasn't really that busy. Oh, and don't forget, you get to buss your own table when you are done eating ... glasses, bottles, plates, silverware ... yep, loads of romantic fun!

I would highly recommend Tradewinds Cafe. It really scrumptious ?.

If you don't know what this place then find out for yourself. Newly updated version of the classic old school 'Jiffy Mart' known to Eugene locals for decades. The 'Old Pad' now know as the paddocks is a short few blocks away. Home of Prefontainte when he was a bartender there in the 70s. Tradewinds is the new name but still serving fabulous Mediterranean food and classic American ?

I liked the (DP) Double portion of protein gyro,My wife liked the sampler

Amazing food and service my favorite restaurant in town.
