On a very busy morning, The Original Pancake House did not disappoint! The service was excellent, fast, friendly and attentive!The menu was expansive, with every type of pancake you can imagine - I had the delicious sourdough pancakes! I also had the eggs benedict which was simple but well prepared with real Canadian bacon.I should mention that some of my personal favorites were not on offer - no chicken fried steak or traditional hashbrowns but I was still delighted with my choice from the many options they do offer!If you're visiting Tracktown USA, or a long-standing local, your experience at The Original Pancake House is sure to please!
A few sides/menu items are pretty steep for what you get (for standard diner fare, at least), but in terms of overall quality: no complaints! Don't be misled into getting one of the big special items-- they take longer to make, and they're only so-so are all the built up anticipation.Go for a regular offering! You won't regret it. Get yourself some bacon pancakes; you deserve it.
Amazing! Great food, very friendly staff and super clean! This was a very pleasant surprise, a local referred us here while we were in town and looking for a great Easter breakfast. We were not disappointed, immediately upon entering we were greeted with a genuine smile and seated. Our server was just as nice and speedy, we maybe waited 20mins after ordering our food, if that and the food was to die for! The omelets are plate sized, thick and they do not skimp on the good stuff, bacon and cheese! Their pancakes have a hint of vanilla and are super fluffy/moist and their sourdough toast reminds me of mom's homemade bread. A must visit location!
We have eaten at Original Pancake Houses across the country, starting from the "original" in Portland around 1979. It has always been a special treat for us. The food is consistenly wonderful no matter which one you choose. Originally, the owner of the franchise used to travel from restaurant to restaurant insuring that they were up to his standards. I guess it made a lasting impression on how to run a restaurant. Some things don't changes.
Large menu, attentive and kind staff, big portions! Overall very good mom and pop feeling place. Parking was a little tight due to construction next door but was worth it for the great meal!
I ate here today and ordered a waffle for my son and scrambled eggs with a breakfast hash. I must say my scrambled eggs were excellent. Light and fluffy, great texture and flavor. Additionally my breakfast hash and my sons waffle were also tasty. I was expecting this to be a decent/subpar breakfast spot. But to my delight it was wonderfully tasty and fresh. I would definitely eat here again.
Very good and great service
The food tasted fine... But if your wanting ANYTHING with your pancakes go somewhere else. Very over priced for small portions and basically no side items. Service was slow, never did get a refill on my small cup of coffee that cost $3.50!!! It's fancy inside, very clean... But disappointed when it came to the food... ?
What a great experience, i had the Two by four. Ordered the egg as scrambled and it was perfectly cooked as I usually eat. The pancakes was delicious. All the staff was friendly and professional. Serve fast. Best recommendation for breakfast in eugene
We love this place. It's always good. We got there 20 minutes before closing time in Xmas Eve and they still treated us great. We weren't rushed at all and the food was delicious as always
