Delicious breakfast and friendly service. I will keep going here for breakfast and lunch and will recommend place to friends and family.
No one bothered to tell us when we were seated that the cafe had a new kitchen staff and orders were backed up for an hour. It took five minutes of standing over our table just to get it wiped off. After 15 minutes, I had to hail a waiter. Another 30 minutes later, I had to ask about our order. The waiter came back and said it would be another seven minutes. It was 10… and there were bits of shell in my omelette and my wife’s scrambled I eggs. Her plate-sized pancake was undercooked, chewy and had a piece of green pepper inside. She ate only a quarter of the pancakes and two bites of her scrambled eggs. The coffee was thin. Other waiters were telling new arrivals the kitchen was backed up for an hour… and most of those people left. We understand the labor shortage across the entire U.S. economy, but I feel I must warn other people not to come to Short Hills Cafe.
Awesome breakfast! The biscuits and gravy are hands down the best I have ever had. The flavor carried in the gravy is complex and delicious. The coffee is amazing and the service is on point. Can't wait to come back for lunch. New go to breakfast spot. Also has the cleanest highchairs I have seen in use. These folks are professional and know their business.
Absolutely delicious! I bought the French toast meal. My significant other had the chicken fried steak. These were the best French toast I have EVER had! Eggs tasted like they used Real butter! Bacon tasted amazing as well, country fried steak tasted great with a real butter taste as well. Sourdough toast was nice. Hash browns where freshly made I would have preferred seasoned hash but my significant other loved the natural taste of it! If we ever head back this way, their is no doubt we will be back! The personnel was attentive, accurate and professional. Very clean location! Bathrooms are far cleaner than most high end bathrooms we've been in. I have to say no down side to this resturant! Thank you!!!
Great small local breakfast joint with quick service. Love the oldies playing! Good selection of standard breakfast foods. My burrito was great and made exactly as I ordered. My husband is thrilled to have found a close restaurant that makes the corned beef hash this way. We'll be back!
I love the food! Every time I come the flavor is the same!They are consistent and the waiting time is not too long. I recommend this place!

We love this beautiful little cafe. This is our go to breakfast/brunch place. The food is incredible, it’s authentic like home cooked food with a fresh homey vibe. The staff is always friendly and fun to talk to. I recommend South Hills to anyone wanting quality food in an elegant cheerful atmosphere.
Low key atmosphere on a weekday morning. Although, I imagine it can really buzz in here when it's busy. Fast, delicious breakfast! Enjoy!
