Overall the food had good flavor. The Quesabirria presentation was lack luster. The shells weren't fried in Birria sauce and there was no cheese. There wasn't a side of sauce, it was just chunks of meat in sauce. There wasn't any cilantro, just onions and radish. Menu stated $11 for the dish but cost $16 and it took over 20 minutes to prepare. It was tasty but half of the name of the dish is cheese and there was none. For all the Birria options in town, this is lower on the list for my preference.
Wasnt bad, but not the best mexican ive had in Oregon. I ordered the tofu chorizo burrito and me and my partner couldn’t tell if it was real meat or not, which was super cool. However, the lettuce in my burrito was super wilty, and it wasnt super flavorful. I’d give 3.5 stars if i could. Pretty average other than the really good fake meat.
Absolutely amazing! The best Mexican food truck in town. Highly recommend!
I'm a broth guy, a sauce guy. Poco Loco's birria broth is ridiculously tasty. I mean, it sort of breaks your brain for a moment with every sip, it is so incredibly tasty. The Loco sauce is also quite delicious, complex and worth ordering every single time. Admittedly, I almost never get to use them as condiments, because I end up drinking it all. The green sauce, red sauce, salsa, and chile paste are also homemade and fantastic.Usually we get the stuffed mushrooms and a Loco Pork Plate (we request lean meat), but we have been really enjoying the queso-birria tacos (which we recently discovered and are not yet displayed on the Royal menu). They're stupid good. Babbling nonsensically, maybe even flirting with tears-of-joy good. They come with birria broth for drinking, er... I mean dipping.I was informed that they will be updating the menu soon, and I can't wait to taste what happens. Please go and get some love from Poco Loco. They are a very welcoming family that takes pride in their recipes. We crave their wonderful, comforting food. I really hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Got the birria tacos last night. I was really excited to try these and thought I'd get at least 3 tacos for the $11 + tip. I got two small tacos and the beef broth for dipping. It had good flavor but paying $13 for two tacos is highway robbery. If you're only going to give two tacos, even if kind speciality tacos, it shouldn't be more than $8 or $4/taco (w/o tip). I won't eat there again now, due to the prices and quantity of food. I should've taken a picture. :/
I don't know what to say that won't set your expectations too high before you eat here... But OMG this place is fantastic. I had the Jalapeno Poppers and the Asada Torta. One of the few places I wish I could try every item on the menu in a single sitting. If you think no place can be this good without some draw-back, I'll offer one: Chili-heads won't find their spicy food too hot. But the flavor and quality make up for not packing a punch with the heat.
Really good tacos in a location you probably already drive by while hungry. There is a covered eating area in the back, so don't be afraid to have a taco on a rainy winter day even.
Poco Loco did not disappoint. Easily one of the best Mexican food places I’ve been to in the area. The food is amazing and I will definitely be coming back. Fair pricing as well. Thank you for such a great meal!
So gave this spot a go and was not at all happy. Service was great and after reading all the reviews I really thought I was in for a treat. Just wasn't for me. Food had a very weird taste to it something I never experienced before with Latino food. (just my experience)
Great food here. They deserve to be a lot busier!
