1.Food ok. Portions small. Coffee bad, tastes weak. Wouldn’t honor both coupons. Remember, you’re trying to make a good first impression. If you won’t honor two coupons at once, then let the two people order separately. Problem solved. Happy return customer. 2: Only one outside table. The neighboring café, Jazzy Ladies, has lots of outside seating, which we noticed after leaving. Lots of outside seating is essential nowadays, especially when all your competitors have plentiful outside tables. 3.No curbside parking adjacent to the door. (We don’t like to use parking structures, many are dangerous, especially in Eugene, where they are inhabited by crazy homeless folks). All in all, just an average place. Not unfriendly but not friendly, just okay. Portions should be bigger, even if you need to add a couple of bucks to the entree price. And the cafe should buy good coffee, Cafe Mam Dark Roast, or any of the excellent local coffees. And don't water it down. As an aside, I’m a former restaurant worker. It’d be nice if the owner took negative review comments seriously, instead of dismissing any criticism. When you have a new customer, give them exceptional service, because first impressions are the most lasting.
What a nice place! It's beautiful inside and has colorful, homemade, delicious food. We are so glad we happened to walk by and see their sign. It's a little bit tucked away and easy to miss. We've gone several times now and enjoyed everything we've tried.
Park Steet Cafe is a small, locally owned and organic coffe/breakfast restaurant in the heart of Eugene. It didn't have the best parking, but it is right next to all the awesome downtown spots, and right next to the Eugene Farmers Market and Saturday Market. The inside is super quaint and inviting. The menu has lots of tasty food options, and a great and offordable coffee selection. Staff here were friendly and helpful, definitely an awesome spot to check out and get a drink or a bite?
Nice staff, and yummy food. We had a pretty long wait time even though the restaurant wasn't busy - there was a very large GrubHub order ahead of us. Just something to keep in mind if you experience wait times that don't seem to make sense, these days there are more invisible customers too!
We stopped here before heading to the airport, hoping for a great coffee and breakfast. I ordered the breakfast burrito and chai latte - both were disappointing. The latte tasted as though it had no chai tea in it, but was mainly watered down warm milk. My burrito, though the flavor was fine, was full of wet black beans which only caused the tortilla to fall apart completely. I had to eat it like an open faced sandwich. The ambiance of the place leaves something to be desired, and the cleanliness was subpar, especially during the Covid pandemic. We sat at the bar in front of the table, and the inside glass looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. The window sill has old food collecting on it, and the plants that lined the sill were mostly dead. It was a disappointing start to a vacation, and I am unlikely to return. That being said, the staff members that day were very friendly, and it seemed to have a few regulars stopping in.
We just ate one of the most delish meals we have had on a long time. Homemade cooking that leaves your mouth, body and spirit happy!! Cozy, colorful atmosphere. Owner and employees are friendly. Marvelous.
The best at what they do! Keep being Park Street Cafe with great and nutritious fare cooked with love. Forget what some tasteless and heartless critics might say. ?
Delicious food amd good mimosa.
One of the worst “restaurant” experiences Ever. We eat out frequently in Eugene, Portland, Bend and Ashland. And this was by far the worst dining experience we have ever had. We ordered a beverage and 2 meals. The drink was mediocre but tolerable. There were 2 other diners already eating their food and no other customers. Our order still took an usually long amount of time to come out. We ordered 2 meals that came with salad greens. The “salad greens” were mostly huge rotten black globs. It’s not uncommon for there to be an occasional expired piece in a salad mix but this was unbelievable. Both dishes had this. We NEVER return our food, even if it’s less than great but this was ridiculous. The only lighting was dim ambient light from the window which would visually hide what the customer is actually eating. We asked for a refund and the owner who is also the “cook” came to where we were seated and very angrily and aggressively demanded to know why we asked for a refund. We politely started to explain again about the literal Compost she served us and she cut us off, slammed the plates on the table in front of us, violently snatched the main chunks of rot off the plates and said,”There! It was just a garnish anyways!” We politely explained that we were not going to eat it and she continued to be pushy and hostile in her manner and then decided to refund us for half of our order even though we didn’t eat any of it. This person clearly has violence issues and doesn’t hesitate to verbally assault her customers. Whatever you do don’t order a meal that has any fresh perishable food in it. We feel sorry for anyone employed by her. And it’s surprising that someone like that serving food like that, has stayed in business at all.
It was pretty gross and way overpriced. The food looked like something you’d make while camping. Definitely would not recommend.
