Nelson’s is absolutely phenomenal! The food is fantastic and the employees are extremely kind, patient, and friendly. Nelson is also amazing and is always so nice and from the moment you walk in you feel like family! My go to’s are the Nelson’s carne asada wet burrito, fish tacos and the shrimp Tacos! This time I went with the carne asada wet burrito and the birria tacos! A big thank you to Nelson and everyone who works at this amazing establishment for being so kind and wonderful and making every-time I go there a special one!
Definitely not family friendly, no options for kids at all. You can’t even order a single taco or a small plate or rice and beans. The tacos come in an order of three.No complementary chips and salsa- chips and salsa start at $5 and the salsa tastes like store bought.This is NOT authentic Mexican food this is Americanized Mexican food. If you want authentic Mexican you are better off going to the taco truck on Royal Ave.FYI shredded cheddar cheese dose not belong in Mexican food.Service was horrible the waitress had no idea about the menu.
This review is for Nelson's In The Whit. I finally got a chance to check out this brick and mortar version of their food truck, and I was not disappointed. We got margaritas and I ended up with the sampler platter (I couldn't decide). I got a picture of the drinks, but the food looked and smelled so good that I didn't think to take a photo until I was half done!
We ate there tonight. went at 5 to beat rush but it was already full. sat by the door and honestly the music was so loud we could not have a conversation so we. finally have up. I bad the barilla tacos and they did not have much flavor and did not come with consume. it was more like a liquidy salsa. on a good note, my strawberry orange margaritas was god and so was of waitress.
Awesome margaritas! The Torta was delicious and honestly I don't recall the last time I had such amazing service. The waitress was friendly, attentive and we were impressed all around
Every time the food is amazing and the cocktails are always fresh!Last time was a triple berry margarita, ready for the next recommendation. My crew is working a monthly hangout at this spot, we felt so welcome well loved. #nelsonsatthewhit
Nelsons is an awesome place to get fresh Mexican food. The atmosphere is great, the service is bomb and its owned by great people. I highly recommend.

Great place to eat in the Whitaker area with friendly staff and great customer service. Their Carne Asada fries are my favorite. Will definitely come back soon.
