This place gets business because it has a lovely location.However, as you can read elsewhere service can be very very slow.For my business meeting, Steven, our waiter, was charming, lovely and prompt, even with the staffing issues. BEFORE Covid this place was slow, but that isn't the real issue. I ordered a salad with salmon, and asked for a few carrot shavings. SHAVINGS. Steven asked the chef, and in a breathtaking display of pettiness, he demanded that Steven charge us more. FOR CARROT SHAVINGS. SHAVINGS. As in a fraction of an ounce, right? Look people, when carrots are become truffles, SURE. But you don't demand to upsell a customer for what is the equivalent of a part of a carrot stick. This is so low brow, so petty, so ridiculous, so utterly CHEAP that not only will I never return, I will be writing multiple reviews to keep people away. The salad was okay, the salmon average. However the insult to the customer is egregious. I live in Eugene, and I am in search of a favorite restaurant. After this utterly un-called-for idiocy this place goes into the sewer unless you just want coffee by the river. However, don't be surprised if they want extra money for your sugar, your cream, your spoon and your plate. OH, and the napkin and the water. OH, and at least a dollar for the use of their cup. By the time you get there, it might go up to five dollars. Who knows what they will charge for the coffee itself.
This honestly is in my top 3 favorite places to eat in Eugene! Sometimes there is a wait but it is never longer than 5 to ten minutes when I have been there, the staff are very friendly and accommodating and the BEST PART (aside from the food and beverages) is the view of the river! A lot of the indoor seating has window views, but they do offer patio seating. The food has always been good. They offer options that are gluten free and vegan here. The drinks are also phenomenal! I recommend the Ruby Red Ale or the White Rabbit.

Amazing food! ....and ya, the wife made be buy 2 bottles. Not going to lie they were good, but imo it was their signature Bourbon that took the cake. Talk about amazing! Wow. Where have u been all my life?! Phenomenal. Nuff said.
One of the more more unique - and more modern - of the McMenamin's several facilities. Beautiful spot with a beautiful view on the shore of the Willamette river. Outdoor seating, plenty of indoor seating for a larger family group, and a well designed bar area. When travelling to Eugene for any reason, this is a favorite stop. The staff always seem to get along as a team, and are consistently friendly with their guests. Must be a great place to work, with a good management team.
Hamburger was good, service above par, comfortable atmosphere. Biggest let down was extremely limited menu, 2 sides offered? None of the foods I crave when I go out to eat. Jaunty little titles to offerings, but lacked so much. As a foodie who can always find plenty I want, I found nothing that enticed me. Kids menu looked more varied. With so many good restaurants, wouldn't come here unless forced.
We dined on the patio. The atmosphere was good but they had not heating elements outside and it was nippy. If we did not have the dog with us, we would have sat outside. The service was slow, but we were having good conversation. I ordered a hot chocolate that took 15 minutes to get and tasted like I cheap knockoff powdered mix. Our fries were soggy and the chef salad barely had meat on it and was saturated in the dressing.
The food was amazing. Simply stated.
We've been here twice and love it. I got the chicken sandwich and my husband got the steak. The atmosphere is mellow, there's grateful Dead memorabilia everywhere on the walls in the bar seating area. The beer selection is great, they've also got a drink menu that features great house made specialties. The staff is attentive and nice. My husband and I are definitely going to be regulars here.
Cool restaurant! Good selection of beer, food was tasty and the bartender was cool. Tiki bar side was cool. Drinks could be better.
