Overall good service and pleasant atmosphere. The menu had a wide selection of fancy rolls to choose from. Orders came out as they were ready so everyone got their meals at different times but it came out fairly quickly so it wasn't too much of an issue. If you are in the neighborhood and looking for sushi Makoto fits the bill but I wouldn't make a special trip for it.
i made a reservation for this place. i then ubered and paid my uber fare to get here. i walked to the door, then i saw a handwritten note stating they we’re closed. i most definitely understand the labor shortage and respect it. however, no need to let me know that there’s a closure notice or no need to inform me that my reservation is closed due to closing of the restaurant? never going back, lack of respect
One of the best sushi restaurants in Eugene that is also reasonably priced. I ordered the Crispy Rice, Sake Maki, Sake Toro ( so fatty just melts in your tongue ), and Creamy Scallop Hand Roll with a Thai Iced Tea. This will be one of my top sushi place! Seating was also super fast and the food came out quick too!
Best sushi of my life. We got the dragon roll, dynamite, rainbow roll, and the volcano roll which was by far my favorite. We completely devoured it all. I was tempted to lick the board it was that good. It was pricey but I can definitely see why now. I'm addicted.
Placed seemed closed for business the other day when i tried to go there. No sign on the door as to why and no lights on in the building. Was hearing it was the primo place for japanese cuisine so i went driving across town after checking the hours of operation on google only to have the trip be a waste of time and effort. When i arrived at 5ish on wed the place seemed closed for business. What a disappointment ?
This place is the bees neas. Best food in town. Service was off the chart. Hands down the best sushi joint in town.
If you are looking for a Japanese restaurant with a ton of cooked options as well as sushi, you have found the right place! Full bar too. We stayed for hours eating and drinking all night :)

Been going here for many years, and 99% of the time is excellent. Service is always excellent, and food is delicious. Prices are fair and allows me to come more often than maybe I should?
Nice clean and quiet restaurant with great food. Staff was great with good food suggestions. Saki was nice and hot for a cold night.
