We were looking forward to trying this place particularly after all the great ramen reviews. Sadly we informed they are no longer serving ramen. We got the garlic chicken, teriyaki chicken and gyoza. All good. I enjoyed that crispiness of the teriyaki though that’s not how it’s usually served. Slightly strange: the have no soy sauce for guests.
After living 30+ years in Japan I'm probably too picky but I thought this was ok. Some dishes are authentic but many are not. It's only authentic if you think that Japanese foods with Hawaiian influences are authentic I had high hopes but was disappointed. Can literally find more authentic and better Japanese food in Chicago.
We just discovered this food cart and loved the food! We had Salmon teriyaki and Saba and they were both delicious! We will definitely come again!
Very delicious! the owner is so nice and the food is amazing! I ordered the veggie curry w/salad and I was amazed by both! 10/10 reccomend!

A super yummy dining experience! Having fresh and light food from a food truck is unexpected and so delightful. Salmon Teriyaki is what I ordered. The salmon was cooked beautifully, and the teriyaki sauce was perfectly sweet.The dining area at this food pod was great for a chilly evening once the heaters got turned on.
I keep trying new things at Masa’s YATAI and wondering when I’ll find one of their dishes that isn’t delicious. Every time I eat Masa’s I walk away satisfied. Every time I catch myself groaning “damn that was good” on my way home. Two thumbs up. ??

I lived in Japan for 5 years and this place is the only authentic Japanese food in the city. Get the fried chicken side without the garlic sauce. Truly incredible quality and care and a hidden gem. Great service and great food, what else do you need?
