I read two of the bad reviews before I got here and was curious about the validity of them. Here is what I found. This restaurant is truly a mom and pop shop, there are two lovely people both attending and cooking for the whole restaurant. I did find I waited a little longer than usual for service but I also know I am a full grown adult capable of practicing patience and compassion. It was well rewarded at the end as the food was delicious! The chicken was super crispy! The rolls was even better than the description and the miso soup was warm and cozy.Please come and enjoy the delicious food the owners have to offer but don’t forget to bring your kindness.
Jumbo size for poke bowl! This cozy place did amaze me for cool interior, nice people, and elaborate meals. Good to try!
Nice little place with AMAZING sushi. Started with the miso and the broth is full of flavor, was delicious. I then had the Jinsei Combo #2, mine came out with 3 pieces of sashimi of tuna, yellowtail, red snapper, and salmon. WOW! The sushi is so fresh and texturally it’s everything you want. Just enough firmness but also super tender and melt in your mouth deliciousness. I also ordered the lemon roll and was surprised at how much I enjoyed the combo of the spicy tuna, the lemon, and wasabi. Was equally spectacular as the sashimi. Highly recommend. Delicious sushi, no doubt!
We were touring the University of Oregon and decided to go exploring. Caught in the cold drenching rain and hurrying back to the hotel, we were able to stop here for a quick rest and to eat their amazing food. Very pretty restaurant, and quick filling food.
I have tried every ramen place in Eugene/Springfield and I honestly have to say the flavors coincide together for the best umami around. Having been in Japan myself, it is honestly the best here. The dashi, the miso ,the spice and the fermented egg have such great balance. I strongly recommend you try!
This place is one of my favorite place to have great quality of food in Eugene. It’s a block away from the campus, friendly atmosphere and staff. Food quality is very good. They recently started the sushi bar and they have great quality of sushi/sashimi too. I highly recommend this place!
Come eat here with playful reverence for modern-traditional Izakaya done so well that it becomes easy, affordable, nom art. There are a ton of places with great food here. This is one worth any distance walked, biked or other.Great for solo dining and all your first dates with its casual clean space with traditional and Star Wars noren. Vibe is happy, grateful, cozy, stylish, comfortable. Everything FELT so good to eat. Our new most favorite.We were so into the experience, we forgot our responsibility to social media pre-photos. Perfection.
Outstanding restaurant near campus with great lunch specials. The Bento box is filling and delicious and their new sushi is amazing (Jinsei Sashimi ??????). The staff are always very friendly and courteous and unobtrusive. 10/10
Awesome Japanese restaurant. It is not really an Izakaya, but it has a lot of choices. The food was perfect. Noodle soup is hot and tasty, sushi is well made and the appetizer is so big.
Everything I have had here is good, but the new sushi menu is excellent!
