Our first time at Empire Buffet. Great service, good pleasant staff. They have a nice variety of Chinese and American Food and even a Sushi bar. Too many food choices to try them all in one visit. Everything we tried though we loved. If you are looking for value for the price with lots of variety I would say you should check it out. We will certainly be going back!
My friend took me there for a very special birthday (the big 70!) lunch. We had heard that it was a great chinese/American type buffet, which explained the French fries! It was a okay meal, except the salad bar was very disappointing, the soft serve didn't work properly either. The buffet lines didn't keep the food hot which as a retired chef was my main concern. I had a view of the food lines and I never saw anyone temping the food! Food borne illness should be a Major concern of the management. Then we got the bill, $17.99! For a lunch! Ridiculous! But it seems that on Sunday, dinner is served All Day. There was a notice, at the very bottom of the small price board. Sorry, who's going to read all the way to the bottom when the lunch price was at the top? They were hoping people wouldn't noticed, and we didn't. We won't be going back and my birthday ended on a very sour note.
This place will charge a 2 year old the full price of an adult l, even though the little one doesn't even eat an 1/8th of the amount. We also found an ten percent fee added on for a part of "8 or more". When I asked if this was an annuity charge they said no. Just that 10 percent was added to any bill of 8 or more. So no tip for these greedy reaching tactics. The food was as you would expect of a buffet, and the setting was meh....but the waitresses and waiters....were like as unhappy as a caged animal. We definitely will just keep going to our favorite which is China Sun buffet which doesn't do what this place did...this was our first visit. Definitely our last.
My boyfriend and i wanted to try here due to it being a buffet snd we have not been able to go to a buffet for a long time due to covid restrictions. But it was such a disappointment the food was cold, it would have tasted good if the food was at least warm, nothing was warm at 6:30 pm on a Monday night. Such a disappointment
We went at 1:30 and the food old tasting and cold. The staff stood around and talked never asking if we needed anything. The floor wad absolutely disgusting especially under the tables.. all in all it was nearly 30 dollars (we drank water) and we left hungry
We were delighted because there was a variety of dishes and they were very tasty.
All the food was good, no complaints. Waitresses and host were friendly. It was a little disorganized getting food, but not bad. Place was clean and the price really was ok, more than I remembered but fair for what you get. Sushi bar was great.
Great food but they open later 11:30 a.m and closing earlier at 8:30 p.m. They don’t have their new hours posted anywhere. Their kitchen closes earlier so better to come in earlier or you may not get some of the choice foods.
The food today was really cold. Everything was cold. we eat here constantly, and today was first time it was this bad. We were there about 3:45.
We arrived at about 6pm on Thursday 1/27/2022, which should have been at the height of dinner service. The atmosphere is rather bland and generic. The sushi was dried out and tasteless. The other fare on the buffet was mediocre, at best. The old dessert bar, next to the ice cream, was broken down and empty. The display case next to the sushi seemed to be being used for storage. All in all, not a pleasant experience and we will not be back.
