I am so sad to have to write this review, because I really appreciate what Elegant Elephant does. But unfortunately, I feel that improper food safety draws a line, and after two bad experiences, I feel like it's important to let others know so that they don't get sick like I did.My first bad experience with EEBC was after buying a loaf of bread at Saturday Market. It was pricey, as GF tends to be, but it looked great. Unfortunately, by the next morning, it was covered in mold - which means that mold spores were already inside the bread by the time I purchased it. I chalked this up to a simple mistake and tossed the loaf.My second bad experience was at Eugene Pagan Pride on 8/7. There were a few food trucks there, but EEBC was the only one I could safely eat anything from as a person with Celiac. I ordered a blackberry hand pie and a tomato basil roll. They were delicious! Unfortunately, what I failed to realize in my hunger was that all of these treats were simply sitting in a glass case, on a table in the sun, with no refrigeration, on a day where the high was 97F.Needless to say, by the evening, I had developed some severe GI issues. There was cheese in the tomato basil roll, which I'm sure had become unsafe, and I feel the hand pie probably wasn't safe either with such a moist fruit filling. I was vending at this event and couldn't leave until 7:30PM, so EEBC was the only thing I had eaten that day, and was the only thing that could've caused my GI problems. You may have a better experience if you go into their storefront and eat what you get the same day you buy it, as I'm sure it's easier for them to safely store food there. But as it stands, I certainly wouldn't recommend that anyone purchase food from EEBC at outdoor events.

Best bakery in Eugene hands down!! I have a life skills student who has celiac so I brought him a cinnamon role. Man oh man was he excited. Could not stop thanking me. The next day he asked me if I could bring him a cream puff. He can't even remember the last time he has had a cream puff. Thanks to this bakery I can make a special kids day and mine without making our stomachs hurt.

Somewhat speedy but maybe because I’m use to eating gluten. Great quality and very flavorful. Cupcakes a must try.

Great options for everyone with all sorts of dietary restrictions and the menu is very easy to read. Amazing to have a go-to GF spot that always has vegan options for me.

Jessie did my wedding cake back for me in August. The cake was not only gluten and dairy free, but the flavor was amazing!! I've been dreaming about it ever since! While working together on the cake, she mentioned that she does florals as well, so we had her take care of our Bridal party flowers as well as the arrangement on our wedding arch. The arrangements went beyond my dreams, and we could not have been happier! Thanks so much Jessie for helping to make are special day a dream come true!

Yeusss! I've scoured the West for gluten free bakeries and this is one of the best. Will be on my radar next time I'm traveling through the area.

Fantastic dedicated gluten free bakery I always make a point of visiting whenever I pass through Eugene! They have a huge variety of sweet and savory baked goods given the size of the shop, as well as many that are dairy free and vegan as well. I make sure to limit how many pastries I buy though, because they are so delicious I know I would eat them all at once!

Great service and the best bread in town for those who need glutten free food. Almond bread is my favorite.

EEBC stared in the "Random Acts" series and aired on 11/04/21. Check it out. Thanks for loving that family in such a tragic circumstance. Thanks EEBC. You are awesome.

Love that this place is gluten free and you can hardly tell. Masters of their craft. Facility is clean as well.
