Was sorting through places to eat and my interest was piqued by this vegan restaurant! I also love cornbread so it wasn’t much of a stretch — none in my group are vegans but we love tasty food and this definitely delivered!We got the jalapeño cheddar cornbread, fried chicken and waffles, plus the Eugenewich (crispy tofu sandwich) and Cajun fries! What a spread, everything was soooo good. Didn’t miss the meat and could hardly tell it wasn’t! So so so good - I’d recommend it to everyone. I’m already addicted to that cornbread, so cool to have a vegan version as I am allergic to dairy it is nice to have those options!Service was also lovely! Eugene is lucky to have this place!
Wow! I ordered the BBQ tofu and my mind was blown! It was so good. The outside of the tofu was crispy just like southern fried chicken. It was delicious! I enjoyed it with BBQ dipping sauce. The serving size was generous. You get a couple sides with this order and I ordered the Mac and cheese. Another winner. I look forward to going back and ordering something different. I'm sure I will be pleased.
This place is a Eugene icon. I've had the pleasure of sharing this restaurant with my out of town vegan friends and family and it is always loved. You really can't get better for vegan comfort food. I constantly crave a eugenewich. Affordable, delicious food served by a friendly staff with a comfortable, covered outdoor eating area. You need to try Cornbread Cafe.
Absolutely amazing!! I'm not vegan or vegetarian but honestly you don't have to be to enjoy this amazing place! 10/10 would recommend to everyone and anyone who's going down to Eugene for a visit!!
Can we talk about Cornbread Cafe? Because holy vegan comfort food, Batman. This place is the bomb. Like it was so good I didn't even take pictures. It didn't last long enough. And the portion size is perfect, even for someone like me that eats as much as an adult rhinoceros at every meal. For just over 20 bucks I got a main, 3 sides, an app, and a drink! Every single thing was delicious, not a single miss in the bunch. That chicken fried tempeh with cashew gravy??? Just do yourself a favor and go get it asap.
Yum!! No indoor seating currently, but big tent outside. Dress warm if you go! Everyone was happy with what they ordered. I got the chili and cornbread. That cornbread was divine ???
Best food (vegan or not) I have ever had in my life. Amazing.Wish they would expand across the country!

THE BUSINESS LISTS ITSELF AS A FREE MEAL LOCATION. IT IS LYING CHECK THE WEBSITE THEY CHARGE MORE THAN 10$ PER MEAL. ITS CONSIDERD DELUSIONAL TO CALL YOUR VEGAN MEALS CHICKEN. WHAT IS THAT. YOU DONT SERVE VEGAN CHICKEN.... IS IT SOY? WHEAT? OR MOLD?
I absolutely love eating here and so do my kids! We’ve been enjoying their vegan gluten-free options for years. Give it a shot! They won’t disappoint!!
