Ordered pick up via phone order. Whoever took the order was completely incompetent. I asked for 2 veggie enchilada plate with an extra enchilada and a vegetarian option for the beans and rice. The girl on the phone said they don’t have that. And I said really because I’ve ordered it just like this before and you had it; there’s lard in the beans and rice. Her response was “well I didn’t know that”. BUYER BEWEAR!Anyway, when I received the order I only got 2 enchiladas not 3. And both were rang in as separate plates (charging me for 2 meals instead of one plus a side enchilada). Additionally there was rice when I asked there not to be. Only because I know they make their rice with animal product and again I’m vegetarian. The manager came up, I explained what happened and she was very validating, accommodating and understanding. She let me know it’s actually chicken stock they use in the rice and gave me a full refund. Thank you!!I understand Chulas is not a vegetarian restaurant by any means. This is not a matter of the food. It is a matter of the service, knowledge, competence and consistency.
Had to pick up an order here and waited 20 minutes, even though it was suppose to be ready. There were two blonde girls at the front who seemed very annoyed I was there. They didn’t give me a time estimate and obviously couldn’t care less about me. There were a ton of orders sitting there as well. The blonde girl with bangs had a ridiculous attitude, couldn’t believe she was a hostess
The hard tacos travel well: the beef is shredded nicely, greasy in a good way, and topped with delicious cooked (maybe pickled) carrots. The toppings also make the potato taco and tacquitos so delicious (potato on its own is well cooked but not seasoned, a good vessel for toppings and sauces). The white cheese dip is fantastic. Order two so you don't stab your dining companion with a chip fighting for the last bite.
Lunch was great, food was delicious and you HAVE to get the queso, delightful.Service was slow, we had to ask for things like water, the check, etc. Normally not a problem but it took way too long for a non-peak time. Maybe it was just a one-time concern, though.
Chula’s has become our favorite Mexican place. Most of the time we use DoorDash since babies make it hard to eat out. We had a mess up on our order and DoorDash was impossible to deal with. The manager Aaron was very nice and doing all she could to help make up for the mixup. We’re human so mess ups happen. Thank you Aaron! We’ll continue to enjoy the food. Also, the queso is awesome! Along with the shrimp tacos and chicken enchiladas! Kids love beans and chips!
First time there today. Really good food but never checked back with us to see how our food was and had to go find someone to get the check so we could leave.
I love the Carne asada wet burrito! Been here more than a couple times and i have yet to eat anything else from their nenu. The staff are really nice and are on top of things. This place is typically pretty busy so that speaks for it's self.
I got a wet burrito with chicken. A bean and cheese burrito and a side of queso cheese. The chicken was plentiful and the burrito was very tasty. They were pretty busy and it took approximately 30 minutes, that's what they quoted me, from walking in and placing a to-go order to getting it. I'll be back.
I wanted to try Chula’s because of all the great reviews. Everyone said they have great food, great service and felt welcomed. Those are my 3 main reasons to return to a restaurant. I can have 2 of the 3 be bad in one trip and continue to go back. My first visit to Chula was today. I ordered from door dash for pick up. I went to pick it up at the time stated by dd and when I got there it was like I didn’t exist. Someone walked in after I did and they were greeted before I was. I mentioned that I was there for pickup and was there first and the lady was very rude to me. I told her my name and she grabbed my food and said it was about time I showed up and rudely handed it to me. Whatever people have bad days. I got back to work and started to eat my food. It smelt so good and I was excited until I took a bit. I ordered a wet asada burrito. Everywhere I have had an asada burrito it has been chopped meat or strips. This was shredded beef. The meat was burnt and hard in spots. The rice tasted very old and almost reused. Over all it was not good. I took a second bite with more sauce on it and the sauce was very good, but the insides were so bad I couldn’t eat the burrito. It was a very disappointing experience and it is sad to say I will not be going back.
Love the food. We go there quite often. This review is for the customer service that I receive from this one person. It seems every time I go there this young associate has an attitude. She works at the front when you walk in to place an order. I know someone can have a bad day I get that but every time? I am pretty easy. I place my order and wait then leave, She always seems bothered and rude when I place my order, Everyone else has been fantastic.
